hi my twins are now 16mths but did BF them. Have to be honest and say it was hard work, you have to be patience, get rest and eat well - Well I did at least. I would also say to try lots of diff positions, the rugby hold didn't suit me as one would pull off when attaching the other and I got sore. Best position for me was one rugby hold and one across the tummy. It can def be done but you have to just take time with it all, I had a v. supportive health visitor and used our local bf clinic alot. Gd Lk x

    Hi girls,

I'm 21 weeks preg with 2 non-id babies and am planning on breastfeeding. i think it will definately have to be a combination of bottle and breast though - just so my partner has no excuse! I can imagine it will be quite hard at first, but will patience and persistence (and a v-neck pillow) we'll be fine.

I BF (still doing evening before bed feed) my twins they are almost 10 months old, I found the first few weeks hard but I made a point of feeding them together even if they didnt seem to want it as normally they fed once on the breast. I found the only comfortable position was the "rugby ball" one one either side heads touching in the middle and I used  a V shaped pillow to rest them on so I had both hands free to make sure they were ok and wind if needed!

Good luck it might be hard in the begining but its more than possible to do, make sure your MW and HV are up to date on your plans to BF and check out any breast feeding groups near you or counsellers they |(so I have been told) can be really great in making BF work! xxxx
