thank u ladies 4 ur replies understand that mistakes can b made and its harder to tell a girl hope all u pregnant ladies and ones with twins r all ok and enjoying this special time

i had a scan at 17 weeks cz of pains n bleeding n i asked n she said 1 was def a boy n couldnt tell with the other. at my 20 week scan saw some1 else n she said def 2 girl so i asked her to double check n then as she looked again elliott opend his legs n she saw his scrotum. i had extreemly bad pain n do rushed me in2 hospital n they had 2 give me pethadine just so i could talk n tell them what was wrong, they couldnt find 1elliotts heart beat even tho i told the mw exactly where to look n she put the toc ecery were but there! the got the scan maching n as id already told them i was having a boy n a girl she said oh is the girl on this side then so i said that he was the boy n she said no its a girl turn out i had i had severly dialated kidneys. on my next scan she again checked the sexes n they were lying in good positions so could clearly see libia and scrotum. the sonographer said that some people cant see anything so just sa its a girl instead of actualy looking to make sure they can see the libia! thats y so many people get told a girl n have a boy!

Hi ya, i had the same thing happen with my twin girls, was 1st told they were girls then when i had lasor surgery 4 ttts they got a good view from inside my womb and said they were boys so got the impresssion what they told me would be very accurate being as they got a good close up but couple of wks later was told no they are definitely girls! OH was a bit disappointed as we already had 2 girls but soon got over it as soon as he saw their beautiful ickle faces! Never had the problem of whether they are id or non id as they had ttts which only id twins can get. xxx

hi ladies i am ment to have regular scans at 24 28 32 wk but only had 20 wk scan so saw consultant last week and arranged scan was told at 20wks that it was a boy and girl twin as couldnt see any bits but couldnt b 100% sure told this 2 wks later as had to be re scanned cos they diddnt have enought time to check hearts (2 x told b/g twins) went for scan monday 30 wks and it is definently 2 boys now they can no longer tell me if they r identical as its better to tell earier in pregnancy they do have seperate sacs though but im so disappointed that it not b/g as started buying girls clothes but as long as they r healthy i just cant believed this has happened any one else had similar experiance
