My twins are just turning 16 months and i have been reading to them pretty much since they were born. They now either sit in their cots with a book each whilst i read another one or we have a selection of books out and sit on the floor looking at them together. Sometimes one will sit on my knee and sometimes they will get grumpy if they both want to sit with me.

Hello, i have a 3 yr old and 2 1/2 yr old twins. I just read the book and if they want to sit down they can.  My 3 yr old sits nicely, as does one of the twins, the other just hops around, lol.  But they all know its story time and when i am done they get right into bed.  If anyone gets disruptive then they get warnings and then to naughty spot which then means they miss out on the story so this rarely happens.

I just ignore if they are being a bit silly but if they are being disruptive then that gets punished.

Not sure if i am helping as yours are a bit younger, lol, just thought i would share what i do.

Tried it tonight with my boys(15 months) one sat with me and helped turn the pages whilst trying to chew it whilst the other wa off bouncing on his toddler seat.  Just wondered how manage to do it wiht  yours?  I also have a two year old to read too?
