I'm glad I've seen this thread!! I have a renault megane which is only £35 a yr tax. My dh wants to buy an x5 which will be going up to £440 and up again to £910 in 2010!!! calling all mums, dads or carers who have to have a larger car, people carier etc for their family,

did you know that as of next year car tax for cars registered after 2001 will be over 400 pound a year!!!! that is more than a pound a day and rising to over 700 in 2010.
