    Thanks everybody for your help.

I think my favourite idea at the moment is a jane powertwin, but I'm still not 100% sure of a tandem. I definately don't believe there is a perfect buggy out there yet! lol

I did look at an out n about nipper for a while, not sure why I chose against it in the end!

Has anyone ever used a kidz kargo one? I used a tandem twice but they kept sliding to one side in the seats. I think it'd be fine for a toddler and a newborn, but no room in the back for even a 7 month old!

I have the Out N About Nipper which is great and very lightweight, it also goes through normal width doors.  I bought the Maclaren Techno thinking it would be a good buy for in the car but I found it far too heavy to lift and push about.

I've got a jane powertwin and a maclaren twin techno, I don't like the twin techno, it's very heavy, but it's not at all flimsy, in fact it's very well built and quite heavy, it's certainly taken some knocks from me and is still standing! lol

I love the powertwin it's so easy to push and takes no effort, I can even push this one handed. Whereas the twin techno is heavy and hurts my hips if I use it for a long time.

I've got the Jane Power Twin (Tandem) and love it. Plenty room for whichever one goes in the back, they take it in turns so it's fair. Now 15 months old and not 1 problem

I have one like the maclaren you was talking about apart from mines a black mamas and papas. They are so light weight and easy to use. Small when folded but no harder to push than when they were newborns. My girls are 7 1/2 months and ive used it since they were born. theres nothing at all wrong with it im just bored of it lol think i have a bit of a thing for pushchairs but havent seen another one that would be any easier to use. It fits through all doorways and i even get on the wheel on buses with it. x

hi there we went from the urban detour to a phil and teds sport my initial reservation was they wouldnt be able to see infront but tbh doesnt make a blind bit of difference he just looks to the side or c***s his head....our boys are now 18 months and prone to a bit of tussling so its good we have moved onto a tandem anyway.....once you steer it you wont go back either i have another toddler and she can sit at the bit on the front when she gets tired.

I have 7 month old twins and am getting sick of my buggy!

I have a Mamas and Papas Twin Aria, which is ok, but I am having trouble steering it and its driving me mad! (Think I was spoilt when the kids were first born, as I used my Urban Detour which is FAB, but jst too wide for the shop doors here )

Last week I tried a tandem as I thought it might be easier to get thru doors and down aisles. The buggy was lovely (a kidz kargo tandem) but just not suitable for twins (would be fine with a toddler and a new born)

I'm not sure about umbrella folds (such as mclaren) as they look a little flimsy.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I would like a side by side which is narrow enough or a tandem which has enough room and line of sight for the poor lil one at the back......... (I don't want much eh!)

Think I should just design and make my own! lol
