I have 29 month old twin girls - and we have been potty training for just over 2 weeks - feels like forever!! We have two pottys at home and 2 at each set of grandparents, AND 2 in the car for portable use!!!  We are lucky as we live in a flat and we haven't had to do the upstairs and downstairs thing - I have kept the pottys in the bathroom as trying to walk from the living room to the bathroom with two full pottys negotiating doors was a bit of a nightmare!  I started both girls naked and once they were dry that way I put knickers on but they both treated them as nappies for a few days so I felt that we went backwards - I now think I might have been better with knickers from the start???  As with anything to do with children you have to try stuff out and learn from the mistakes!!!

hi,i'm in the same boat my twins are 28 months now a ds and a dd we've got 2 potties downstairs but i'm going to get 2 for upstairs as well, they know what the potties for as we've had them a while but in the last few days my ds as started weeing in it all the time i just leave him with just a teeshirt on but no nappy.i had a talk with my hv a few weeks ago and she just said just to put them a pair of pants on,its really funny as he thinks hes really clever (which he is)and claps when hes done a wee,but i'm going to read up on it as i haven't got a clue what to do next lol,his sister still doesn't want to wee it her potty yet i thought they said girls were easier to potty train.

Hey, you will def need 2 potties, prob 2 downstairs and 2 upstairs, i have started sorta with my twins who are 19 months well ive introduced the potty, and they fight over 1 so i bought another one.  going to take a week of my work soon and hopefully crack it, pretty sure dd is ready but not sure about ds.  good luck once you have done it you can share your tips with us!

Mine are only 18mths so I haven't gone through the potty training twins thing yet, but I have potty trained my eldest who is now 4.

I would deifnitly buy 2 potties, as sure as anything one will want to go at the same time as the other, even now my 4 yr old will make on in with anyone going to the toilet! lol.

I think pull ups are a total waste of time and a hinderance to potty training as the tots think they're wearing nappies, so just wee in them.

I've found that letting the litle ones go totally naked on the bottom half is the best job to start with then after a couple of successful weeks try with pants.

Good luck, I have to admitt I'm not looking forward to potty training my two boys.
