No advice on the breast feeding front as I never did it, but my twins had touch of jaudice and I kept them in their cot by the window, the midwife said it was the best thing for them. hth.

Thanks hun, i am going to take those bits of advice....
Priya put on 2 oz in the last 5 days, and Kai put on 2oz in the last 3 days so they are going in the right direction....he got discharged from the NNU today as his jaundice levels dropped by 50 ! So thats me finishing up the top up bottles i do have (about 3 or 4) with him and then bf exclusively again....
Fingers crossed it carries on going as well as it has been :-)

Hey Stacey firstly congrats on tandem feeding both of them. Mine are 5 weeks now and i con only feed them one then the other.
I dont know about the Jandice/folmula but I have only ever BF my babies and they have been gaining weight fantasticaly. 6lb 2 when born and 9lb 1 last week (get weighed today)
a good peice of advice for when you get home is never to give up BF at night and dont keep milk in the house. There have been times I have wanted to throw in the towel but the above advice kept me going. xxxxx

I have 9 day old twins and am exclusively breastfeeding both of them....my lil boy however had to go into special care for 6 days and has jaundice, they want me to top him up with formula over the weekend and hopefully get rid of it....i am getting them weighed tomoro by the mw and hopefully they are both gaining weight now (6lb11.5oz @ birth dropped to 6lb1oz & 6lb1oz @ birth dropped to 5lb13oz)
Just wondering if anyone has any handy hints, or tricks of the trade, or words of encouragement to pass down....i am tandem feeding most of the time and find this is working reasonably well :-)
Stacey

Keep up the good work. I would say that if you find that you are not eating well then maybe consider giviing them a bottle just to help you along. But if you can do it then do it. I couldn't because i have 3 other kids and i would just never get my youngest to and from school because it takes so long to feed them, so they have 1 bottle at half seven just before we leave for school and another at around 2 pm on the way to pick him up.
I did have an electric breast pump but it broke down. but will be getting a replacement that helped a great deal and my 2 were only having formula when i was too tired to pump. So you could invest in one of those to help you along.
