    could always ask HV   ...my sister in law (not a single parent)

    got 12weeks free nursery at a scheme thats run in our area

    ...never told me about it ...could have done with some spare time when my 2nd daughter was born

    i put my daughter into a playgroup which luckily was £5 a week for 2 1/2 hrs a day   till she got a place in the local promary school nursery ..she was 3 on 30th november and they took her in early instead of waiting till january as they had spaces

    we pay £12 a week (2 mornings a week), have applied for the free sessions but not heard anything. i dont mind paying the £12 cos he loves it but will be nice if they can help a bit

    im gonna see if they ahve any space for him to stay for lunch which is an extra £2.

    im also the same, was told lo will get funded in january but until jan ive got to pay £112 a month will be a struggle!

    My dd is due to start preschool in september, shes 3 in october but i have to wait til Jan til its funded, so do i get help with the fees before shes 3 cos im on income support? thanks
