how can you not have contact with your child if there someone else. the childs still your respnsibility even if he/she is at there other parents house. its totally patheic if your dont have a number for your ex especially if its your child, say if something happened to them and they cant reach you? i think no matter what you should put your differences to the side and be more responsilble for your child!

i always make sure i have my mobile on and my ex also has the house num and my mums, what if there was an emergency?  i also call on the night he takes them and the following morning to check they are both okay - if they wanna come home, i tell him to bring them back!  ( altho this happens much less now, they usually have a great time and i enjoy the p&q!)

I think if there were any chance of him being a PITA if he had my number I think I'd maybe have a special very cheap mobile for contact with him and have my normal number kept out of his reach.
