If it is anything to do with tax credits I'd say just keep ringing them every day or two to find out what's happening! When lo was born and I phoned up to claim child tax credits I waited absolutely ages before I received anything. The 2nd time I rang up they didn't have any record of my even claiming, then every time I rang it was 'being processed' so I just kept phoning and phoning until they eventually told me my claim was being prioritised because it had taken so long and eventually I got my money in 2 nice big backdated cheques so it does pay to keep on at them!

Now that I don't know.  My claim continued for four weeks, then they gave me a cheque as well.  Now they want one lot back, despite me telling them before they gave me the cheque they'd already paid me it.  They said that it had gone to decision makers and I was entitled to the cheque and if the ask for it back I can appeal and keep the money, but I can't be bothered, so I'll just pay it off as it comes straight of my child tax credits and I am still getting nearly £100 a week.

well i rang them last night and no they cant confirm the run on as it has only just been refered to head office. so i guess my best bet is to keep ringing till i no im getting it for definate.

do you know how long it could take to come thro or is it how longs a piece of string?

    Hiya.

I was working when I found out I was pregnant and they gave me my notice when I was 15 weeks gone.

I got a run on for four weeks and couldn't claim income support until those four weeks were over and done with.

Have you spoken to tax credits to confirm the run on?  I am pretty sure it's standard practise.

    hi girls,

on the 20th of aug my smp ended so i rang tax credits to say i wouldnt be coming to back to work so they ended my working tax credits and left me with my child tax credit which is fine yeah?

then after i rang the 0800 free fone number to claim i.s got a intervew to sign sum forms and that yesterday but i get there and they said i cant claim i.s because i may be eliglable for a working tax credit run on the chap said come back in 4 weeks i asked when i may get this money he said 4 weeks is average but thats if im entitled.

so i rang tax credits and its not been seen to or anything yet and they wont give a time scale

so reallly im just wanting to know if this is right? if any1 else has been in this sit ect ect

    thank you
