no not now...before when he was with one girl together she pushed him to go to court to get access to son as i didnt give him son away from me as i was thinking its not nice to take son away from me to be with his new girl as he was a crazy women ;( luckely it didnt work out for long between them both! but who knows what will happen when he find other one ;(( im just so afraid to lose my son...he is nearly 2.3 years old but ex still cant change him, put him in the bed or other thinks...they can just play togehter that is all ;( thats reason why im afraid if he goes to cort and get access over nights ;(

we tried sort put all childmaitences as adults...but not looks like it will work out that a way...as I asked him to pay £150pm for son anyway that is less if i go trought CSA...he said OK he ill but i still not get penny from him...he just use me for money anyway i work part time and pay rent for 2 bedroom house and he works full time and pay for studio flat...but him never have money for son to buy clothes, shoes or give me same money for childcare or other stuff! after this all im so afraid losing my son....specialy as he use treat me as im not british anyway my son is!!!

access and maintenance are separate issues. Bizarrely some judges view paying maintenance as showing an interest in the child (not sure if they do that only where it's paid voluntarily or not) which can be a factor in access being granted.

but you're giving him access. IF he took you to court over it then they might ask you to give him unsupervised access within a certain period of time (imposssible to predict what that might be) but you can argue against overnight access at least until child is 5 officially (depending what you argue specifically court may order it but unlikely when he's not having unsupervised time atm). But court would take months anyway. Has he given you any indication that he might go down that route?

Maintanence money off the dad wont effect your child/working tax just hb until they bring in new system. Its just extra money that you should get from the other payment so i would definilty go through csa know matter how long it takes it will all get back dated to you

Currently the amount of maintenance you get, you be against your hb, but from october 27th (i think) maintenance is not going to be against hb so you'll get both still.

It will look like you are being a good mother to your lo, by going to the CSA to receive maintenance you are looking at ways to be able to provide for her. It's only fair.

Just to give you an idea of what the process is: My 2 were born May 07 and I didn't apply to CSA til Jan at which point we agreed he would pay me direct but he amount that CSA set ( they request a copy of payslips etc in order to work this out) - He sent the info but never made any payments, so I contacted CSA agina a few months later and they took over by telling him he had to pay them and then they would pay me, still he never did - now he has a deduction of wages, got 1st payment through 2 weeks ago. On top of normal monthly payments he has to pay arrears back to January, when I first applied.

If you know his earnings you can go to CSA website and workout roughly what he would be due you. If he offers to give you money without involving CSA insist he does through either cheque or bank so you have prove of what he has and hasn't paid.

HTH good luck and hope your lo is better soon xx

following on from my previous post about my daughter being ill, im not letting my ex away with any more garbage, so iv decided i'd like to get CSA involved since he's refusing to deal with me, but i'm confused as to how that will look should he try and gain access...our daughter is 7 weeks, exclusively breastfed, and since my previous post proves that even in her being unwell and in hospital, he doesnt give two hoots...so i dont want him having much involvement, but he isnt getting away with this single guy carefree responsibility free lifestyle when im scrimping and saving every penny (hes away on holiday...again)

    any advice appreciated xx
