im just thinking about applying for csa myself and my ex has another child that csa takes money for, it dosnt seem right that the second child should recieve reduced rate they should re asses the first case too and both children should get the same.

csa  be backdated should be from the date the mother got incontact ...although in my case it was from the date they got in contact with him hinm...fought to have it backdated ....they could also trace him through date of birth if you didnt know adress ...but might have changed his name

you would get a reduced aount if the system flagged up a first application had been  made for his 1st child when inputting his name adress ni number etc

if i apply for csa and there is already an outstanding case on the father for a previous child (although they have never actually managed to get any money from him)

    what would happen?

would they instantly recognise its the same guy?

will his previous childs payments be backdated from the time the mother applied(when did csa commence?)

will my daughter receive reduced amount as a s'econd ' child?

how will the csa put 2 and 2 together ? I dont have an address for him and hes moved constantly / biyearly for as long as i know but will they know that this is the same person?

does any of this make sense ???!!!
