i dont really know what it is in the technicall terms but its a form of  hypospadias which means when hes older he will wee downwards instead of the normal way, i didnt really understand what the doctor said but he will need a cathetar in for a week which will help it heal along with a big bandage. Its only a cosmetic procedure but has to be done between 6 and 24 months. Thanks for the comments ladies. Im just worried as its my sons first operation and ive packed the bag but am confused how many nappies to take lol

Aww poor little thing.  Hope it all goes well Nat.  At least it's something he won't remember when he's older and kids bounce back so fast!!!

hi, lots of hugs for the 2 of you xxxx

most kids will 'play up' in hospital, new surroundings, other kids kicking of etc, the nurses will know how to help you get him settled etc. they are there for you too, so just ask if you need help xxxx

Hi, mu 16 month old little boy is going to have a operation called a tubularisation, which is on his man hood, he has to stay a night which i get to stay with him. Im just worried because he has to have a cathetar in for a week, he sleeps on his stomach and would this mean he would have to sleep on his back which i know he wont do as he slept on his stomach since 2 weeks old. im worried as i know he will be noisy and that the nurses will sout because of this has any one had this sort of problem.
