Key stage 1 starts with year one. From September, reception and nursery/ preschool are linked together to form the new foundation stage (most schools are doing this already but it's a government directive from Sept). Hth

Does Key Stage 1 start in Year 1 or is it started in reception year?

I only ask because I bought my dd a goldstar work book that says Age 5-6 Key Stage 1 on it.
