My dd is 7 1/2 yrs old and in yr3 at school.
When she writes she constantly writes letters and numbers the wrong way round, these letters/numbers are:
d, b, s, p, 2, 5, 7, 9.
and occasionalyy she does other letters to but not as consistantly.
Is this still normal at her age or should she be getting this right by now??

Hi
I help in a class of year 3/4 and about 5 of the 20 kids transpose their letters. Some all the time, others get them right sometimes and then on the page transpose them.
All we do is re-write the correct layout next to what they have written, but always mark the answer correctly (if it was) and gently remind them of the correct formation.
I would say its not even a pattern of similar abilities or type of children. They are across the spectrum on brightness and capabilities. SOme are also right handed (I kept being told it was only left handed children that did this).
I dont know the answer but its not uncommon!
Just keep practicing the correct formation and in time I am sure it will sink in
