I am amazed at the progess Reception age kids make.  My dd is in Nursery (she will be 4 end of December), but;s it;s a mixed reception and nursery class.

I'm also very proud and teacher told me my daughter is doing really well too and is starting to read etc - Totally amazed at hom much they can learn in such a short time.  They have only been on this earth 4 years and yet they are so able.

Well done to all the little stars who are keen to learn so much.

she started in reception in september and was only 4 at the end of may.

Yesterday she told me she had been in to see year 1 to show them a picture she had done and got a sticker, i wondered why so asked her teacher this morning and she said that they had been making curry and then did pictures.

On her picture she had written 'POPDOM' and 'GBTA' meaning popadom and chiabatta but did it all on her own and the teacher was that impressed she took her to show the year 2 teacher

Then when she got back to her classroom she got a bit upset and said she didnt spell it right it should have been a 'CH' sound in chiabatta! lol bless her

She has come on loads since starting and i am so proud of her
