Sperm meets egg plan, google it, it will tell you the best times to bd to increase your chance of getting pregnant. For a standard 28 days cycle you should start doing the deed on day 8, then every other day until you get a positive on the OPK ( ovulation test) then three days in a row and one day off and one more for luck. Very tiring but worked for me!

You all seem a fun lot!!!

So sorry for all your losses and very impressed by all your positive attitudes. It is true that going through all this makes you stronger. I am so sorry sarah that you have had another miscarriage, when you have a treatment planned one would always hope that it was for keeps. I am sure it won't be long now.. Have any of you tried acupuncture? I heard that it can really help with reducing the risk of miscarriages. you can also combine it with chinese herbs although I would always recommend using an accredited therapist, not so sure about the ones on the high street. I have been going for a few months now, initially for other health reasons but I am hoping it will help me conceive my next child, just want to exclude any underlying medical condition that may need treatment first.

Wishing you all the best and when it comes to tips I have a few too!!! Have any of you heard of bding with the lights on or in daylight? Apparently it helps your chances of conceiving! Why? I have no idea..... I didn't use that mind you but I used SMEP and that seemed to do the trick

Look forward to ttc again soon I hope....

Hiya hun, sorry for your loss's.......i had to reply cos our history is quite similar - ive had 4 mc's too & i healthy baby in between, although not in the same order.

first had a mc at 9 weeks, then had healthy ds in july '05. Then since ttc for baby no 2, since jan this year ive had 3 mc's, all v early, before 6 weeks. After the 3rd mc i went for tests, & like u really debated whether to wait, but after some thought i did, cos i thought i needed some time for me emotionally to recover. Glad i did, as id had 2 miscarriages' in the space of 2 months & my hormones were sending me mental . Tests all came back clear, although said i have a blood disorder, factor v lieden. Saying that, its doubful that this has caused the mc's, as they were so early. So was told to inject daily with a heparin, take aspirin & progesterone pessaries in my next pg. Plus taking folic acid. However, dispite all this, & finally getting used to having inject daily, the last pg still ended in mc acouple of weeks ago

Ive waiting for just 1 more thing to be tested for, results in 2 weeks, then will ttc for pg no 6.. Im the same as u, desperate for another child; I always wanted at least 2, & the longing for another child is almost as strong as it was for the first.

im 36 now, so panicking abit !! But we're lucky in that we know our bodies can do it, we've already done it once.

Ive had some v dark times times, & have to say the girls on here have really saved me. So yes your certainly in the right place. Hopefully you've only got acouple of months until u see someone, so not too long to wait before u can ttc again.

    Charlotte!

omg woman, what I would give to be 32 again, 21 would be better, but hey, 32 would be good too.

I will definatly be 38 when we have our next one, and the way oh is going I might even be 3fooking9 !

Anyway nm me..........You will get plenty of great tips on here, and fits of giggles trying them out

And you know what............the next time you go for some jiggy, ur gonna be thinking of us! How pervy is that

A few tips to start you off with, don't think negative, always think positive, it's not going to happen again because it has happened before.....and the biggest one, don't keep pg tests in the house then tell us ur getting signs, it is cruel, and I'm sure it's against Bounty rules!

Hope your time with us is short (you do too, trust me) and sweet.

i have only ha 2 mc and ive had all my tests done

but they dont like doing it till you have had 3

i was admitted to hospital when it happened because i was late in the pregnancy

if your doc has reffered you they will do the tests

i think it disgusting that some women have to lose a baby 3 times before the hospital will look at you

your doc will be able to make sure you are ov ok they will do a 21 day blood test

so when you see him or her next ask for it

    take care

and remeber we are all here for you and have all been through it

so if you are upset or wanna a laugh then come on

and when you are ttc plumper will be able to give you loads of tips

and trust me when you hear some of them they will make you laugh

    take care

Thank you so so soooooooooo much for all your kind words. You have given me so much support.  It is great to know that I always have you guys to keep me in check. I just hope that the tests don't take too long. My daughter is 2 on the 17 th July and i don't really want too much of an age gap, as well my husband and I aren't getting any younger!!!! I have this fear at the back of my  mind that the consultant will dismiss me because I have not had three and even though my GP has referred me. But they can rest assured that if they were to try and turn me away I will put up a fight!!

I hope that all of you on this board will be holding your precious baby in your arms soon.

    Sarah is right.

Glad you have deided to wait for the tests, I know it's hard, and just want that feeling back of being pregnant, but our bodies can only take so much, a bit of a break will do you good hun.

Take care, and I hope those test come sooner rather than later.

i really think you are doing the right thing

and before you no it u would have all the tests done and the results will be back and if you have a prob

they will sort it out for you

i no how hard it is and when i was told to wait i was like no way but after talkin to my doc he made me realise why i should wait

make an appointment to see your doc and explain to him or her that you would like to start tryin asap so is there a poss that they could get the ball rollin

it will be worth it in the end and when you hold your next baby and it perfect you will be overjoyed at waitin

trust me you will be giving this advice to someone day

i am wishin you all the best for the future and all the best in doing your blood tests

    love sarah.xxx

    Good callMollysmum1707

After a good nights sleep and taking all your comments on board instead of beaing stubburn I have decided to wait until I get to see the consultant and go through all the tests. I read Dr Lesley Regan's book on miscarriage last night and it struck a cord, it seems that my miscarriages could be linked to my daughters low birth weight. She was full term but only weighed 5lb7. It could be linked to some clotting problems and has made me realise that even if I could cope with a mc I would hate myself if I had a stillbirth that could be prevented if I had the tests. I hope you understand what I am trying to write, I owe it to myself and hopefully our next baby to take the time and see what could be wrong.

Thank you so much for your understanding, the loss hit me harder than I thought and I just wanted to replace this feeling of emptiness with another BFP as quick as possible without thinking of the consequences.

    Hi Charlotte,

Firstly I am sorry for your losses and yes you have come to the right place hun. This forum is just wonderful and all the girls are amazing and have been such a great help to me so I know they will be for you too.

Your message really struck a chord with me as I am in a very similar situation. My dh and I have been ttc for almost two years, we sadly don't have any children yet and are absolutely desperate to be parents. We have suffered 3 losses, our first in October last year turned out to be ectopic which resulted in emergency surgery and the loss of my left fallopian tube, then I fell pregnant in February an sadly mc'd early at about 5 weeks, I have just suffered another mc at exactly the same stage as the mc in February and my Doctor is very concerned that it keeps happening at the same stage early in the pregnancy. I was told at hospital I wouldn't be reffered for tests until I had had 3 consecutive mc's but my wodnerful GP said b*llocks to that as she is very concerned and thinks that if our first pregnancy hadn't been ectopic, it most probably would've ended in an early mc again. So she is going to refer us to a specialist. We have decided to wait until we have these tests before we ttc again, as I honestly couldn't bear another loss anytime soon, plus I think I really need to give my mind and body a break as I am signed off just now with stress and depression and other health problems. But i totally understand how you are feeling, I did feel that I would be really p*ssed off if we waited months for these tests only to find out there was nothing wrong that they could find, and they out it down to "bad luck" I would feel we had wasted all that time waiting when we could've been trying and maybe getting it right! So I understand your fears hun, it is really up to you what you would like to do but I do agree with Sarahlou that it would be best to wait for these tests just incase you get pregnant again and sadly maybe lose again, which would set all the tests back etc.  It is really good news that you have had a successful pregnancy though and you should feel positive about that, there could just be some small problem they can sort straight away which woud be good, or of course they may find nothing wrong and then you can keep on ttc. But hun it is up to you, I know how you are feeling as i am in the same situation lol!

Sorry to ramble but hope it helped in some way.

Godd luck whatever you decide to do hun and again, welcome to the forum
