Don't bother contacting them again sweetheart, I would call a solicitor, and ask him to write to them on your behalf, explaining what distress they are putting you through.

    Disgusting!

Hope you are ok hun, well as ok as you can be!

Hi Tara So sorry for your loss

I m/c in early June this year. The "YOUNG" nurse who spoke to us after the final scan took my notes off me and said theyd be passed on to the relevant parties, ie doc and midwife. I thought then she didnt seem to have a clue how to handle the situation.

Six weeks later I received a call from my midwife saying she should be seeing me for my booking in appointment . I was so upset, it made me realise I would have been 14 wks and feelings that were slowly starting to heal became raw again .The hospital never handed over my notes.

The midwife apologised (it wasnt her fault) but EPAU have a lot to answer for.

i'm sorry hun, they did a similar thing to me by requesting me for my dating scan when it should have been my check-if-the-bean-has-gone-scan!the woman dint have a clue, you see they don't talk to each other and they certainly don't read notes!i screamed at her and wailed down the phone, but the damage was done. i'd make a complaint, once is bad enough, but 3 times is taking the p***!i do hope you get sorted soon hun, thinking of you x

Tara I am so sorry to hear this it must be awful I must admit i was lucky to have the opposite experience. After my mmc i asked if they could tell midwife about it cos I was due to see her the following day I assume they did.

Also when I see a doctor re tests for lack of pregnancy a few months ago she didnt help but next time i see another doc she see that on my notes and referred me straight away.

Hugs to u it mus tbe hard and baby dust for you xxxx

I know exactly where you are coming from.

Computer systems should have some sort of flag that comes up when a patients name is put in if there has been a loss.

At my surgery they have nothing and as usual no-one reads the notes before you go in.

I went in to see one of the nurses and when I walked in her comment was 'What, not pregnant this time?'. Not a regular day to day nurse there, so everytime I see her I have been pregnant with one of my 2 children.

Another doctor asked how I was, thinking of how lovely to be asked.  Then she said 'This will be your 3rd child won't it?'

My son was born early and died later that day.  But the details are hidden back in April now and no-one ever bothers reading back that far.

I mentioned it to the regular, lovely nurse there when I went for my smear 3 weeks ago and mentioned how upsetting it was to have to keep explaining the details etc.  And asked if she could speak to the Practice Manager about having something that pops up on the screen when those patients names are typed in so no-one else puts their foot in their gob.

Hope you get everything sorted as soon as you can.

    Hi

I would seriously consider putting in a formal complaint. This is disgusting the way you have been treated. I would also look at changing your Doctor's, if not, always insist on seeing the same Doctor for consistency, it's bad enough going through a mc without having to explain it time and time again to people that should be in the know!

I would even go as far as telling them that if you are not completely satisfied with their reply you will be willing to go to the papers in the hope that no-one else will be treated the way you have.

    What area are you from?

Hope you are feeling a bit better hun, we all understand in here

    Hi tara,

I am so sorry for your loss. I can understand your fustration, it seems that information doesn't get passed on. I have had recurrent mc test and had to have a scan for that, just make sure it is not part of those tests... I doubt it is and probably incompetence but you never know it may be for the recurrent tests?

I hope that you will get your take home baby soon

I usually post on TTC even though i would probably be more suited here.  I have been pregnant 9 times and have three children.  My last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at end of June.  I have been refered to the recurretn mc clinic now and my appt is next month.

Well since june i have been to my doctors 3 times, Every time i have had to see a different doctor and ever time I have been asked how mnay weeks am i now? I have had to reply that I am not and i lost the baby.  This is not once but 3 times!!

Well today was the icing on the cake.  I was due a scan today (got the appt through 10 days afer i mcd) and i missed a call and listened to a message on my phone saying, 'Hi Tara this is so and so at the antenatal clinic, could you please give me a ring back regarding your scan and the urgent tests you need done at Kings College.'

I am soooo upset by this especially as i spend 3 days in hospital on the EPU whilst mc as they thought it was ectopic.  Surely all my notes on the cvomputer would be updated to say i mcd as epu confirmed it from hcg levels :-(
