SarahLou - Don't feel bad for posting this - you are completely right - for cases where girls have early mc it would be better not to know. i was reading the other day how sales of pg tests have soared and companies are making huge amounts of money off their claims about finding about about pg 7 days before you're due on. I am currently holding back from testing and will try to wait at least a week but it is so hard. Maybe we should all boycot pg tests and insist on getting the doctors to do it from five weeks on!! lol xxx

Really sorry this happened to you Sarahlou. It happened to me in July, I tested on the day af due and got a bfp, then bfns up untill af came 3 days later. Because I carried on getting the bfns I didn't get too upset, but it is a horrible feeling. I vowed never to test early again, even though it is so hard! Take care x

I agree with Sarahlou I tested early in July and mc 6 days later. It caused a lot of heartbreak, had to go through having vaginal scan etc and seeing a barren screen. I wish Id never tested early and wont do it again. These pg testing companies are making as lot of money out of people.  A while back it wasnt possible to test early and I think that was a good thing. It causes a lot of anxiety and stress. Id also never heard of a chemical pregnancy until this happened to me. I would recommend waiting at least a week when af is late.

Same happened to me I tested before xmas and bled xmas day I was distraught my gp called it an early mc. It still didnt stop me a month later testing early although I was a few days late and got bfp and gave birth to my princess last Thursday. Sometimes it can be caused by hormone inbalance so when we ttced Charlotte I took seven seas hormone balance pills xxx good luck to those with bfps and those who are ttcing xxxx Baby dust xxx

hi hun thanks for your post your doctor is definately right. normally i'm very good t not testing early but this is my first month ttc and couldnt help myself. if  af shows this time next time round i'll be resist the temptation and wait til af is late.

i am just relaxing about ttc or trying to and tbh being on here made me worse and made the waiting for af worse and turned me in to someone i did not like so i will be around just not as much

and yes it is nice to get the bfp and trust i do hope that all the girls who get the bfp stay and they get there take home babies

but testing early is a big gamble and it wasnt till my doc told me that i realised this i never heard of chemical pregnancys untill this happened and he said so many women have this and dont even no they had it

but now this is down on my file and tbh i wish it wasnt cos for me it is now another loss making myt total losses 3

my doctor as told me that he will not see me or refer me till i am 2 weeks late

and tbh i dont want to test this has put me right off of testing at all

I was just wondering how you were, hadn't heard from you in a while.  Tbh I think you are right about the early testing - although it's great to hear about bfps its so sad when they don't make it, maybe best not to know. How are you bearing up honey?  Are you taking a break or still ttc?

Sarah so sorry you had to find out the hard way about testing early.  I used to test early also and the same thing happened to me last August that has just happened to you.  I had a positive test and af turned up 3 days late and then negative tests.  To be honest I think because I had 2 mc's before this I never really considered it to be real so didn't get overly upset about it.  It did however teach me not to test early.  I never test until the day after af is due now as I am very regular and the only time I was a day late I was pregnant but lost my baby at 16 weeks.  Hope you feel better soon.

to all you girls who test early on pregnancy tests

you may be all aware that last month i got my bfp this was to be very short lived because i tested on cd 25 of a 28 day cycle anyway 3 days after af was late i started bleedinfg a scan and a pregnancy test at the hospital confirmed i had a bio failed chemical pregnancy

on going to my doctors and who warned me that testing early can lead to this its best to wait until af is a week late to test

this has now been marked down so this being my 3rd loss and i have to say its hitting for me 6

cos i no i was pregnant and it was taken before it began

my doctor advised me not to test early because so many girls have this and never no and tbh i wish i never new i was preg

he also saisd on testing early will not mean i am seen any earlier in the hospital and it will make the wait that much longer till you have your scan

he advised me to wait till my af is 2 weeks late that way i would be nearly 6 weeks and would be near enough ready to be scannede

i am not hear to judge any of you and you do nt have to take my advice but to you girls who test way way way to early and to you girls who encourage this

i would say be very careful cos sometimes in life its best not to no to early
