It would show -ive, most women will only get +ive for one day, some for 2 days. You should ovulate 12-36hrs after the first +ive
Also look out for ewcm, niggles and also some women get sore boobs or nipples!!!!
As someone said before, sperm can live for upto 5 days inside a 'healthy environment' so don't just wait till you get that +ive!!!

This might sound silly but if I had passed surge would an ov test show up as positive or negative?
2/10/08 16:49
I would do one tomorrow if I were you

If you did want to use one over and over again you can get saliva ov tests...........

today was cd 16 so do i have to test again tomorrow?

I surprised myself when I did mine so be careful. I thought the discomfort I had was actual ov but I found out that the ache came after the ov had occured. Plus the tester picks up that you will ov within the next 12-48 hours so you want to be bd'ing then, rather than just when you think you have ov'd so there is little soldiers already in there, waiting. Hope that makes sense!!!

Just remember you will get a +ive 12-36hrs before you ovulate, so if you think you ovulate day 18 i would test day 16-17 x

Hi girls, I've been using the CB Digi with the smiley face too but if you're lucky and you go on Ebay you can buy the test sticks without the machine from private users which saves you buying the whole thing again. They are good and there's nothing like getting that smiley face on a morning

Don't worry hun I was the same - I didn't have a clue either.
There are 7 tests sticks in the digital one with a device you push them into to read the results for you. On a 28 day cycle it tells you to start testing around cycle day 10 until you get a positive reading and then it says to stop testing, once you get a positive reading you should ovulate anywhere between 12 and 36 hours after. I haven't been able to get more than one month's worth of testing out of one kit, I have two sticks left from this month and if I don't get a bfp then I will probably buy another kit, its a shame they don't sell the sticks seperate but not sure how long the digital device lasts.
Hope that helps hun.
Bex. xx

thanks for your reply.so is it £22 each month or can you keep using it over and over - sorry if that sounds stupid but have no idea how they work?
do you pee on a stick each day?

Hi
I have used lots of different ovulation tests and my advice is to avoid the ebay cheapie sticks which I have never had a positive on since ttc, I have used clearblue digital ones for the last two months and got a positive both months on them, it gives you a smiley face when its a positive so you know 100%, they are about £22 in shops but I have got mine off ebay the last two months for about £12. I would highly recommend them.
Hope you get your bfp soon.

i've heard of the sticks or the monitor??
any advise would be much appreciated : )
