Hi, sorry to hear about your friend's loss. And it's lovely to hear you wanting to do something to help her.

Sands can help and also the Miscarriage Association (at 19 weeks, the loss of her little girl will be classed as a miscarriage). They can put her in touch with someone who's been through a similar experience, or can give her details of any local support groups.

Will she be able to bury her baby? Or do the hospital do a burial? Some do, and I found it a really useful part of the healing process.

My friend used the Sands people and they were fantastic, so I would suggest that too - with support from friends like you, Im glad she is gettin some reassurance.

There are no words to make your friend's hurt any better so I won't say the standard phrases. I can recommend SANDS to you. They also have a website http://www.uk-sands.org/.
