Hoorayyyyyyy!  Woo hoooooo!!!  Welcome to the world Jessica and big congratulations to your Mummy, Daddy and big brother Jacob!!!!!!!

So pleased she has arrived safe and sound Jen, you must be so relieved and so proud!!  It's lovely that Jacob is chuffed to bits with his little sister too.  Well done with the breastfeeding, my nipples felt like someone was rubbing sandpaper onto them everytime Flo started a feed and this has only really eased over the last few days (it does hurt tho).  Hopefully everything will heal nice and quickly for you.

Sorry I haven't been on sooner-my laptop packed up whilst I was in hosp havingg Flo last week so I can only come on when I can use someone elses computer at the mo.   Been thinking about you loads!

I can't belive that we are there and on to the next phase now-I have to keep pinching myself that the last 9 months haven't been a dream, it all feels a bit unreal at times!

We must all keep in touch, I would love to hear how Daniel and Jessica are doing (and how their Mummies are too!)  Thankyou so much for all your support and help over the last 9 months-It has helped so much to know I can 'chat' to you guys on here.

Katybelle- sounds like everything is going well at the moment...long may it last, you so deserve it.  I've got absloutlely everything crossed for you xxx

    Take care,

    BIG hugs, Em xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I hope that those that have followed onto this forum will soon be meeting their little ones too.

I guess i'll see you on the 0-3 months board now.

consultant has booked me in for csection on tuesday next week - 2nd september, so i avoid induction but give her a little chance to come by herself, before getting too ginormous.we even went for all this pre-assessment today too - chat from physio about recovery, midwife came in for chat thru process and then anaesthetist had chat to everyone then indidvidula appts to sign forms etc etc

felt really weird as obv last time it was all an emergency

cant believe all our journeys are reaching the end or should i say the beginning, lol

    WELL.........

She's here!!!!!!! Florence Elsie arrrived on 27th August weighing 7lb 15 oz and is lush!

As you know my waters broke on the 26th and at FMAU  I was booked in for and induction on Thursday should things not have progressed on their own.  Kev and I went home and waited for things to kick off!  We went for a 30 minute walk at about 9'oclock in the evening.  My mum and my sister came over so that they could have Finn when things started.  Went to bed and noticed my waters were coming out heavier and had turned pinky.  Woke up at 1 with crampy pains.  Took some paracetemol and tried to sleep.  after about an hour I decided to start doing my active birth thing around my bedroom!  Left Kev asleep until 3 30 at which  time it was getting harder to breathe through contractions so he helped by rubbing my back etc and we started t iming contractions.  after 45 mins we rang delivery ward to see if we should go in as contractions were coming around 5 mins lasting 1-2 mins.  The mw we spoke to said try and stay at home bit longer (try having a bath, taking some paracetemol and watching a dvd!!)  I had started shaking at this point and as we put the phone down my contractions started coming thick and fast.... I was shaking like mad and had begun to moan in pain, I could not move around anymore just lie on my back and grab pillows in the throes of contractions.  At this point my mum came up into my room, took one look and said you are in the transistion stage -you need to get to hospital or get a mw here...I was in so much pain and was screaming in pain... Mum rang the ambulance and the delivery suite and in no time at all i had two paramedics and two mws in my bedroom!!  Thankfully they bought gas and air and that kind of took the edge of the pain.. I somehow got into the ambulance and then closed my eyes and sucked on the gas and air for dear life!  It's about a 5 min journey to hosp in ambulance and before we got there I was feeling like pushing and was freaking out big time!!  As soon as we got there I was able to start pushing and 56 mins later out popped Florence!  Not quite sure how I did it but managed somehow!  No stitches needed-woo hoo-labour was classed as 5 hours 18, just a bit quicker than Finns who was 26 hours!!

I came home last night and we are all knackered!  only had few hours sleep in the last few days.  I'm breastfeeding but milk not in yet so Flo is a bit peckish!  will try and get some pics on here soon.

Hope everyone is doing well, you are next Jen!  Good luck!

    Em xxxx

wow how that time has flown by!!!!

good luck with tomorrows appt xxxx

i am still here, had last hypno session and apparently midway thru it she did some reiki on me (dont know what that is exactly) but she said there was an old man with her who just kept repeating jennywren to me, did i get called that - only by my grandad so that was a really weird moment. but nice, regardless of what i believe or not

consultant appt tomorrow - she isnt in her clinic as she is on labour ward all day but we have to get there for 12.30 and wait for her to have a moment to spare to check me out and FINALLY make a decision re: induction/ c-section and hopefully get a date for one of those. so i really hope that we are a bit nearer some clarification tomorrow, i dont like all this uncertainty of having three options available and any one of them could be chosen tomorrow but heck, by this time next week i WILL have jessica in my arms, and hopefully be home too.

em, i hope you are doing well hon, thinking of you and your little babba andbig boy finn too xxxx

    Morning all.

I hope that things are progressing well for you both and are in a room pushing as i type lol.

Hi hormonal, it's a shame you missed the thread but we can all support you over the next week or so.

Katy glad you are having a nice holiday and even happier that the little one is staying put.

Things are going great for us here. Daniel had his 6 week check yesterday..i can't belive he is 7 weeks old tomorrow its gone so quickly. Anyway in one week he put on 11oz and is now 8lb 4oz, that explanes the two hour between feeding that he's been doing. He has also grown 4 cm since he was born and is now 54cm long. I thin he is going go to be a big boy as technicly he is really only 3 weeks old. The doctor did the rest of the checks after i had fed him as he was starving. She said he is really allert more so then she'd expect and passed every test with flying colours. He's even trying to turn on his side to go to sleep already.

Just have to practice getting up and out of the house for 8.40 now when school starts back next Tuesday.

I have my 6 week check at the hospital tomorrow and Daniel as to have a scan on his hips as DH was born with dislocated hips.

hi katy - rread your niggles and just a couple of things:

from this stage you can pick up heartbeat on a monitor, i borrowed one from a friend from 12 weeks and it had heartrate reading, and you could hear the sound, at this stage i couldnt pick up both readings together, i would either hear hb very faint or pick up a heartrate number, which for bubba is much higher than yours or placenta, around 140bpm +

anyway, ic ant tell you how rreassuring i found this in interim period between end of sickness and feeling movements. i tried to restrice myself to once every two days, or whenevr i had a blind panic

the shooting pains in your pelvic bone could be ligaments softening and causing pain as your bone free flows a bit too much - i had symphysis pubis dysfunction on both preg with jacob and this one and very much had shooting sharp pain in pubic bone, so see how you get on and if it doesnt ease up in a week or so see your mw about it as she can get a referral to physio for you and they will give you loads of advice on movement which will minimise any pain/ damae you may do. hopefull it isnt that and its just a twinge or two!!!

thin]k that was everything, sending you more babyglue hon, and enjoy your jollies!!!!
