lol, thats just what happens to me too!!

well, i am still here, lots of knfe like shooting pains in my cervix and a couple more painful bh, but nothing to write hom about.

dh has week off work this week (and hopefully next week paternity) and my parents still wanted jacobee, so they have just taken him now - we have this evening and tomorrow all to ourselves!!!!

and what have i planned? - well just sent him out to mow the lawn and i have some flat pack drawers ill be putting up for jacobs room, i LOVE flatpacks, find them so satisfying sad eh?

hopefully tomorrow we just have a tip run to get rid off the car seat and drawer cardboard boxes and we are free to remember what life was like BC...

bet we just sit on sofa relaxing all day!!!

    Nope, I'm still here!!!!!

I totally know where you are coming from, everytime I get any twinges I start pooing my pants cos I'm scared of labour BUT I spend my days trying to get things going by walking/swimming bouncing on gym ball etc!!!!

Had the runs last night and thought 'is this it?!' but then nothing!!

    Hope you are still alright!

    ooh i hope so em!!!

been to see hypnotherapist again  today and she said get your calendar out, and decide a date it WILL happen. then have a relax, and a chat to your baby about how ou are looking forward to meeting them, and they will be safe and loved and fed and looked after, but that you will be ready for them to come on such a date - she gave me about 10 examples of this happening!!!

my prob is much as i want her to come early so i can give natural birth a go, i also like the predicatbility of a section - if we get to 29th going to ASK CONSULTANT FOR AN ELECTIVE DATE to aim for. in the meantime i am walking everyday, and going to maybe decide on a date tomorrow and then start letting 'baby' now shes to come then!!!

katy, hope all is well for you hon, are you near 12-13 weeks now?? so pleased for you getting so far hon,a good sign xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hi Peeps!

Welcome Hormonal!  Great to have you here, sorry you missed us at the beginning!

I'm Em, Got 1 DS Finn who was 2 last month.  I had a termination last Sept at 13 weeks when baby was found to have inherited a condition known as fragile x syndrome form me.  This baby is due August 28th and it cant come soon enough!!!!

Went to MW today and all is well.  Bubs is now 3/5 engaged when last week was fixed??  I'm confused!  Really do want baby before due date as mum and dad are off on holiday that day and Kev goes back to work on Sept 1st and as he is starting a new job paternity leave will be tricky-arghh!  Ah well, baby will coem when baby is ready I guess!

Had a few niggly cramps etc but no show or anything, gonna do some yoga tonight and probably some rumpy pumpy!!!  My MIL is convinced the baby will arrive tomorrow-reckons she's got a sixth sense (!!!).

Can't wait to come on here and see you've had your babies!!

    Em xxxxx

hello!!! hormonal!!!!!! we have been here since dec, shame you misssed us but glad to have you here for the last leg of it

how has your preg been and tell us a bit more about yourself if you want

im jenny, my ds is jacob, 3 and i had two mcs and an ectopic preg last yr, currently 38w2d with a little girl (we hop, lol as i have lots of pink clothes now!!!) she is shaping up to be big (10lb +) so i may need an indiction on my due date or even to go straight to c-section, as i had failed induction leading to emergency section with my ds, so we are hoping for things to kick start naturally before then, ie 31st august.

    Afternoon.

Well we've had a few sleepless nights, it turns out that Daniel has colic and it has kept up up the last few nights. He was desperately trying to go to sleep but the trapped wind was causing him pain.

Went to the health visitor and she said to drink 2-3 of those yakults a day.......i can't afford to spend 15 quid a week on that stuff so i have gone straight to the infacol.

I'm off to the breast feeding forum to ask some advice.

lol!!! glad he save d it all for your other half, good lad!!!

i am still poorly, started with sinusitis yesterday but beennto docs today and got antibiotics and have upped paracteamol to 1000 at a time (i usually only take one tablet of 500mg).

i havent had this before, but omg it is so painful!! feel like mike tyson has punched me in the face!!!! got some menthol crystals to try and help clear congestion too, pretty eye watering!!

we so are not a poorly family, and yet past 12 days we have all been suffering. at least jacob is better, and back to normal, he has a horrible few days when he feels better just tired and grumpy and reverted back to tempers as he has been so cossetted. hopefully now these antibs will clear me up before jessica comes along.

thanks for your replay in august forum em i am avoiding there as find it depressing being at end of the month, ti was the same when i had jacob, was due 26th-ish may and he came 9th june!

Hi Jen. Glad to see little one is growing well. I am not 100% but i think its 1/2lb gain a week, hope thats a better outcome for you.

I have the graco travel system and we haven't got the base for it we just strap in the seat. I have to say it only just fits in the back seat as the seatbelt is at its limit. That said i figure it won't go anywhere as its locked in tight.

I went out lastnight without the baby. I felt like a big heffer next to all my thin friends and by 10.30 i wanted to come home lol. While i was out i had a text for DH to say that Daniel had had a bottle ok, 2 poo's (he hasn't been for 3 days), wee'd on him and had a bath happy days lol. then about 10 minutes later i had another text to say make that 3 poo's lol.

Breast feeding has been going well for the last few days so keeping fingers crossed it carries on that way.

okay... i worked out the weight of baby from scan form, EFW i guess is estimated foetal weight, works out (t was in grams) at 8lb 5oz, currently, give or take a lb either way, so she could be owt from 7 1/2 lb to 9 1/2lb as we speak.

38 weeks tomorrow, they put on around 1lb a week, so heres hoping she comes early. so much for the supply of newborn clothes i have ready, optimisitcally hoping for a smaller baby than jacob only to see she is prob much bigger.

weird tho cos i was so much HUGER with jacob, bump this time is relatively neat

ordered a new car seat and sofix bASe as i got someone official from the council to check out oou old one and he fitted it and said are you happy with that and it was awful - i said i am happy that if you are telling me that is the best it can be fited, that i am not willing to put a baby in that!!!! so off we went to look at the which website. ordered a maxi cosi thingy off mothercare - luckily hotukdeals had a 10% off code, and we also get 5% cashback from quidco, so that has helped. problem now is car seat prob wont fit into our graco travel system pushchair, but at least i feel happier re: safety in the car seat.

full of cold at moment but better now than with a new babe!

    hell o

i  had consultant appt today and she sent me for another scan, baby is sizing up to be bigger than jacob who was 10lb 3, so if i dont startoff by myself they want to see me on the 29th august, and get me in for induction, wouldnt be that day tho. if i am not favourable for induction then it will be a booking in for section appt.

so i reckon you will be first em!!!!!

head was 3/5ths engaged, d/k what that means, and cervis softening and between 1-2cm, again dont know much about that, consultant said things were startiing off in the right direction, but i dont think its much!! will go an look that up now!!! think the head bit isnt much to write home about but glad my cervix is doing sthg as been getting really sharp shooting pains in it for last few nghts. also she is on a nerve on my right hand side and my leg keeps giving way, thankfully more in the evening when i am at home, otherwise i would be emmbarrassed!!!

hope you all well, good to hear from you both, take care

    Evening all!

I'm stil up cos we've had some friends round for dinner and they have only just left!  Glad daniel is doing so well Lane, i think it's a tough time when they need feeding all through the night and you are soo tired-it feels inumane at times I reckon!  Stick with it tho, you are doing great!

Had MW appt today (38 week check)  Baby is fully engaged (fixed) and is loa so that is good.  Feeling fine and bp etc was fine.... just want to get the birth bit out of the way now cos I am scared!

Glad you are feeling more positive about the birth bit now Jen, It must be so confusing not really knowing what will happen and not being to psyche yourself up one way or the other but I reckon you will do it just fine-will it be before or after me?!!!!!!

    Nighty night, I'm tired! xxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hay all.

Had Daniel weighed yesterday and he has gained 9oz in a week and has now gone up to 7lbs 5oz i am really pleased.

The breast feeding is going ok most of the time, although the nights aren't my favourite. I am trying to get enough milk expressed so i can give him his 4 am feed in a bottle to see if that helps.

He's starting to really look at us all now too which i love and i am sure some of his smiles aren't just wind.

    i cant either!!!!!

glad breast feeding is still going well i bf jacob to 9 months, looking forward to it this time as last time i had no confidence to seek support, this time i already have numbers and groups lined up to go to, so should avoid the diffidulties i had last time (which included being hospitalised due to absess and a resulting woulnd which didnt heal for 7 months (!) and needed a nurse to dress three times a week during that time (cant believe i persisted with it!)

i am wondering if the head is engaging - it was free last wek but last two days i have been getting weird sensATIOn either side of my groin area and have started having much stronger bh, so been trying to practise my new breathing techniques with them, almost going away from fear and into excited that i may be trying to opt for a vbac!! got hypno session weds.

Morning both. I can't believe Daniel will be almost 2 months old when your little ones arrive. He is doing great, had this really weird thing happen that freaked me out a bit but its ok. He stopped pooing, after 2 days i was really starting to worry but after talking to a few girls on bounty i was told it can be something that happens with breast fed babies and not to worry. Well after 8 days he finally went lastnight. It was some nappy lol, a bit like chinese curry sauce lol. The thing i didn't like was that i think it had bothered him the night before as he was quite restless. After the poo i fed him and he slept until past 5am.

I need to stop eating as much as i have been as i am not losing any weight. It's just a am hungry alot, i guess i have to adjust what i am eating.

    eek!!!!!!!!!!

    lol

well i am reading hypnbirthing book and trying to find the cds in some desparate last minute prep for going for vbac. i should have liked more notice - i like to be prepared lol - but if anything it is calming me down and making me think just maybe i can have a normal delivery. after all this pregnancy hasbeen so different from when i had jacob, i have been much healthier and fitter this time round, despite the spd worsening this week, its still nowhere near as bad as previously with jacob.

see consultant - or ~(knowing my luck another wasted trip to see a snotty registrar!!) - this thursday. i am hoping they will give me a c-section date but if i start off before then we will give it a go.

getting a really weird sensation last couple of days at top of my thighs in groin area - like the muscles are really heavy or something, very odd. also had bh today which was painful too, thankfully just the one! i tried my barely practised breathing techniques - pretty poor!!!!! definitely need more practice!

well, its not long now, is it? 2-3 weeks and we will have our little babbas.

hope daniel is thriving willow lane
