?swollen feet are awful - i have bought flipflops for nearer the time and during / after hospital as my feet ballooned up something chronic nothing else would fit.
i cant believe how close you are now.

hope everyone else is well, anyone heard from kelly recently?
i have THREE more days left at work - whoooohoooooo!! although had annual leave today and spent it catching up on reports - have more annual leave next week before my last day on the 10th july, and it is good knowing if i dont get everything done i have that day at home with jacob at childminders to catch up with everything, though i dont think i will need to, or have too much to do, it all feels like it is pulling together paperwork wise. will be so glad when my last report is in the last envelope and put in post tray!!!
then i can start getting house ready for babba
ah, so looking forward to putting crib and moses basket up, and getting hospital bag ready....guess you have done this already lane

Hiya Katy. Thats great news about the BFP
I will keep everything crossed for you. There will be loads of
heading your way from me after the 10th as i won't need it any more.I know what you mean about not being able to be as excited as other people. Let me just say that it is perfectly normal and you aren't bad people for feeling the way you are. It just gets so hard to stay possitive all the time. It will come.
I hope that you get to see a little heartbeat on monday coz you never know you could be a few days ahead of what you think.
My feet are still puffy but that just means i have to put them up more now lol. Baby is having a good old wriggle as i type. He must know when i come on bounty. Went to next today and they do stock tiny baby stuff but sods law the stuff i wanted was out of stock. On the plus side they don't start their sale till after i get out of hospital with the baby so i can have a good shop then as i will know what size clothes i need for sure then.
Hope you are all well and the hot weather isn't driving you too nuts.

Good morning ladies!
Glad you are all well. Willow - can't believe your bubs will be here next week! wow! Good luck with the birth x
Well I just popped in to see how you are all doing and to ask a small favour and see if you can send me any of your spare
?I got my BFP last week and am bricking it! Haven't had many symptoms. (.)(.)'s are tender now and again, bit tired, bit hot but not a lot to report, however I am eating loads.
We're trying to be excited but both Dave and I can't find it within us and I think that is such a sad thing

I have got a scan next Monday which was already scheduled about 8 weeks ago to check for a cyst again as was having the same pain so it's co-incided quite well as I'll be just over 5 weeks. I know we won't see much but the bereavement midwife at the hospital (who my consultant told me to ring should I get caught again) has told me to keep the appointment as they might be able to see whether the pg is 'viable' (hate that phrase!). I'm also booked to go and be scanned weekly from 8 weeks onwards.
Anyhoo, enough rambling from me.
Love to all of you and your bubs. Big hugs and kisses, Katy

Hiya all.
Well i can't believe that next week is baby day for me.
I just want him here now. Been looking for tiny baby clothes as they say he will be about 6lbs but i don't want to pay stupid prices for them. So we went to asda home as last time i went they had loads, well everyone must have had little babies as there wasn't a thing.
I also have really puffy feet. I don't know if i should worry about them as it is quite hot round here right now. Trying to keep them up but not comfy then. I am running out of shoes.
27/6/08 20:32
aw bless him em!!! gorgeous boy that he is :-)
hopefully my profile pic shows jacob with his mohican, which developed into a pineapple hairstyle, we were mightily relieved when that FINALLY started flopping down!
i have sated my appetite on ebay now...
unfortunately my friend hadnt got the clothes out yet, but i do have a moses basket, baby carrier, play gym and baby rocker, which is all great, as well as getting my free bag from boots for updating my parent lcub details that i am exp4ecting again. also got goodies from sainsburys to collect soon.
off to blackpool this weekend to see dh's family, two more weeks of work, i have a couple of annual leave days i have booked for these two weeks, which i did to have a pressure valve if i was behind on my reports and paperwork - which surprise, i am, so i can still pack jacob off to childminders and get it all finished. the light is definitely there at the end of the tunnel, and then we are off to hunstanton the week after i finish work, my mum gets a big chalet and we all go down with my brother and his girlfriend too. i have my maternity swimsuit ready
shall i be brave enough?!!!!found my preg diary from last time and as i suspected my spd isnt anywhere near as bad as it was with jacob, although i am in pain i am more mobile than with him, so i might give swimming a bash if the weathers good

6lb is a great weight lane, it all looks as if everything is going well for you, really pleased xxxx
how are you kelly hon?
27/6/08 13:27
Awwww Lane, I love it when newborns have loads of hair..Finn had a cute mohican when he was born and looked so cute! Not sure if I mentioned it before...probably did so sorry if I have but we made a blog for Finn when he was born and you can check it out if you like-lots of pics including some recent ones! its www.finnhadley.blogspot.com
Jen-stop buying stuff RIGHT NOW!!!!! does that help?! I'm no good though as am on ebay everyday looking for bargains-haven't actually bought anything yet-still window shopping but do know exactly what I want and will get it all when finances allow!!
I'm fine, nothing to report really-just ticking along! Won't be seeing mw for 3 weeks. REALLY fed up with work but only got 3 weeks to go-I feel bad saying this as I am a teacher and should be more professonal (!!) but I'm enjoying having fun with the children in my class but just canot be bothered with all the important paperwork and tedious end of term jobs-my heart is just not in it and I get knackered at work too which doesn't help!
Gonna go now cos Fin is covered in yoghurt and should be down for his lunchtime ap really so I'd better leave this and sort him out!
Hugs,
xxxxxxxxxx

Sorry i am going to be no help what so ever lol.
Went for scan yesterday and looks like my little man will be a 6lb baby, so i now need more then two tiny baby outfits as everything i have is either new born which is upto 10lbs or 0-3 months.
Hubby is going to take me shopping on monday, so i will just have to wait til then.
Also everything looks great with the baby, the doctor said he even has quite a bit of hair. I am wondering now if he will be dark haired like me. George is blonde like his father.
27/6/08 08:45
ach too late! i am now proud owner of (another) dress set, two pairs of leggings and a vertbaudet trouser and blouse set (ha ha the seller didnt put the make on so no-one else bid on it - i got it for £4 incl p&p and the others i have tried to bid on the same have all sold at £8 +
GOT TO STOP..!
might help that today i am off to my friends and she is giving me all the neutral clothes i lent her three years ago back, as well as all her baby girl clothes.
26/6/08 19:46
OMG you lot have to stop me spending all my money on ebay!!!!
convincing myself i am saving a fortune not going to clothes shops to buy clothes for babba, but i think i am addicted!!!
also get a buzz from waiting to see if i win the items too!!! lol
even jacob kkeps opening the drawers and saying ' i am just looking at baby's clothes!'
25/6/08 20:05
let us know how you get on!!!!so chuffed for you on toysrus money back, well done xx
25/6/08 19:11
Hay all hope you are all well.
Just wanted to say i posted in DIAugust about my encounter with babies r us. Well pleased, if you take a look its the babies r us are brilliant or something like that.
Have hospital appointment tomorrow. Last one before i go in to have the baby. I will be interested to see where he is now as i think he may have moved. Also how big he is.
Went to mothercare world yesterday and bought two tiny baby outfits just incase he is under 7lbs. As a guess for this appointments estimate i will say 5lbs 9oz.
24/6/08 22:03
hey em - you didnt update us much on how you are doing? how is work, how long left now? are you working til the summer hols?
thanks for your kind words.
i had rotten night last night sleepwise - i tend to drift off then reawake after an hour, and if i cant re-settle i have been getting up and going to spare room for a few hours, we have a spare cot bed mattress and i lie on that with my feet up - i think i have the restless legs thing as they drive me potty! after a few hours i get back into my bed and sleep thru then, tho today i woke at 5am so went downstairs had breakfast and played sudoku on DS.
ANYWAY after a big debate with myself about calling up antenatal day unit i decided to go to work instead - i have only 6 work days left and SO much to do, so i thought i will see how i am come lunch time. fortunately she must have moved because i have been back to being pummelled by her, can really feel her foot moving around, so am relieved.
bless jacob - whenever he sees me grimacing after downing gaviscon, he rushes up with his blackcurrant juice and lets me have a sip to take the yucky taste away.
cant wait til i go on leave and dont have to send him to childminders for nearly a year
, tho i guess not long and come sept well have the school a.m. rush
23/6/08 22:14
Hey peeps!
Only 16 days to go Lane? I can't wait to see the pics of your lovely little boy! Good luck with Babies r us, I really hope they can help you out somehow.
Kelly has the tubigrip helped at all?!!
Jen, I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling a bit poo...I have't had any BHs yet but have had a bit of moring sickness now and then over the last few weeks and had periods of absolute exhaustion. Although in one way it feels like my due date is fast approaching, in another I feel like it's still good to be true and something will go wrong-like it kind of feels unreal..... Jen, I'm sure bubs is fine in there and like you say she has moved into a position where you can't feel her as easily. I hope your heartburn feels better soon cos that is rotten. Come back and have a moan all you like though and don't apologise-that's what we're here for!!!

hello,
kelly, ur mw sounds a pain, it doesnt cost owt to have a bit of caring
lane i cant believe its 16 days, hope you are well apart from spd xxx
em, hows it going hon?
ive been a bit stressed yest and today as babe hasnt been moving as much - i am 30w1 but measuring 3 weeks ahead, and i still get a few movements, but was getting loads even a few days ago, tho having said that on sun i was in tesco and she did some sort of massive shift so perhaps (hopefully) she has just settled into a position where i dont feel as much

heartburn and bhs are pretty bad at mo, and i am generally just stressed and hormonal and worried. i had been on a high for past couple of months and now i guess as the time gets nearer, it feels like its more impossible than ever that this will all go without a hitch.
sorry to be on a downer, just want to sit and cry

23/6/08 18:26
I think i could do with one of theose belts as i am really finding it difficult to do anything for a long period of time. Went shopping today and was out for no more then 2 hours and about 30 mins of that was spent having lunch. By the time it was time to go i was in so much pain i just wanted to sit down. My sister had to get my son from school for me.
Thing is i only have 16 days left so i feel a bit daft asking for it now. Will just have to do less lol.
Kelly that was nice and supportive of your midwife. It bugs me sometimes how they can be. I know they are busy and see certain sypmtoms a few times a day, we however do not and need reassurence when things are happening to us.
If i could afford it i think i would train to be a midwife. Maybe when both kids are old enough. Would miss them too much with all the hours you have to put in.
I sent a letter of complaint to babies r us on saturday, i was fumming that with in a week of buying my stuff they had a sale and 3 of the 5 things i bought had been reduced and i would have saved almost £40. I have asked for a gesture of good will in giving me that money back as i can't travel to the store to get a refund and buy again at the sale price. Played the old having baby in a few days and how expencive having a baby is and that every penny counts.
I doubt it will work but its worth a try, they replied on sunday to say they are looking into it. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Going to Mothercare World with my friend tomorrow to get a few of the last bits and bobs i need.
21/6/08 08:30
hi girls i am still hanging in there still getting period type pains but all ok not even seen the mw she just left a stupid tubigrip at the desk for me and said if i start contracting go to maternaty unit its freaking me out a bit cant go far as i am really sore after walking any distance just keep telling bubs to stay put how are you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
20/6/08 13:55
it doesnt ease the pain as such, but it kind of feels like its holding my pelvis in shape, its quite tight, but it has been helpful today eg i have been out shopping and i felt a bit more supported, plus its got three sections and top one lifts my bump up a bit so i get some relief from that too

my tummy ,oves of its own accord too - half expect everyone else to be noticing its wild lurches to the side etc!!! sigourney weaver/ alien eat your heart out!!
hope everyone is well, xx
20/6/08 08:56
Is the belt easing the pain Jen? I am having more trouble as the days go on but i figure that with less then three weeks to go its not worth saying anything about it to the doc.
I seem to be bigger every day and my belly moves independantly to me lol. I am also eating more but am more tired.
I have started to want to tidy up but the spd plays up if i do too much lol.
19/6/08 17:47
WELL PHYSIO GAVE ME A BELT TO WEAR, TRES SEXY!!!
oops soz for shouting!
babes head is about 3 weeks bigger than average
and also it is breech, so its the feet kicking and pushing down down there that have been feeling weird.good to see her again tho.
hope you all well,
i am knackered

Your last day at work will be my little mans birthday
I am still not completelt ready but theres not too much to do.
I go for my first lot of steroids this morning, not looking forward to it but if it helps his lungs its all worth it.
