Hiya all, Kelly i hope that things settle down for you and the little on. Tell bubs we all said to stay put for at least another 10 weeks.

Hiya Jen how are things with you?

I am still waiting for my pram and other bits and bobs to get here. could be anytime in the next three days, not including today. I am going stir crazy not being able to go anywhere just incase.

The Springsteen concert was amazing. We all had the best time and the baby seemed to enjoy it too. He did almost three hours without any support act too. I played the baby some Bruce yesterday morning an he started moving so maybe he recognises it already lol.

23 days to go and i am realising every day that i still have soooo much to do. Although i am glad that we left it til the end of the pregnancy. We got the carrycot out of the attic yesterday and found the stan which is even better. I cleaned it all up and it is sat in the living room. I have to get a new matteress as its been in the attic for the last 8 years. My friend aslo gave me a good tip to use pillow cases for the bottom sheet as it won't come off. Gonna look around for blues and greens :D

The spd is starting to get worse but as long as i pace myself and take breaks in between housework it is just about bareable. I did almost go to take paracetamol the other day but i was all out...typical lol.

    Hey girls!

Glad you are all well.  Lane, I expect you are rocking out right now!  Very exciting that you don't have long left-woo hoo!

Jen, I am supposed to be waiting until the summer holidays when I'll be 34 weeks to buy big things for baby but I too just can't wait!!!  Got some of Finns baby baby toys out from the loft like his tiny love baby gym and elc blossom farm stuff and washed them ready for bubs! Was lovely seeing them hanging to dry!  I bet all your grlie clothes look so sweet-awwww-I'm so happy for you chick!!

We are getting a phil and teds double pushchair as Finn still needs a pushchair-luckily my mum is very kindly treating us to it!

I'm fine-very very tired at the mo-think it might be the muggy weather down here in sunny Devon!  Been fighting to keep my eyes open in the afternoons!

Bit bored right now as Kev is watching the le mans race on tv so it's just cars going round and round and round and round-yawn!

    Might go to bed!!!

    Take care peeps.

    Big hugs, Em xxxxxxxx

yay!! a pram thats so exciting!

we are using the same one we had with jacob, its a bit naff, but it saves cash, that way we can splash out on baby swim classes, in fact, the waiting lists are so long i should get her name down now, lol - seems a bit previous, but i have to call round childminders in our area next week to arrange for babba and jacob come may 2009 when i return to work..........

i have cleared jacob's old room out now, rearranged furniture so easier for us to use with a babba, and i put the baby clothes i have bought into the drawers - they look so lovely - and so girly!!! all candy colours i seem to be going for in an attemp to minimise pink - must be 95% of clothes are pink!! then next week i should be going to my friends to collect the baby gear and ill get the crib up etc

i could wait for another few weeks when my mat leave starts but tbh i have just half a pregnancy's worth of excitement built up now!!!

hope everyone is well, and chat soon

    x

    thats so exciting!

they sound to be really on the ball looking after you, and he is a good weight now

i went for my glucose tolerance test today, which i had as jacob was 10lb3, but extra relevant now as i am measuring 4 weeks bigger - mw bumped up growth scan and consultant appt to next week at 29 weeks trtaher than the 38/9 w one, i dont know why they have brought it forward, what that means and why i dont know - not sure what they will do or say if bubba is big - will i have it (inductin or c-section early? will they only do a c-section?) cant wait to chat to consultant.

got physio next thurs too - think i am p***ing off manager having all these hospital appts, but its all nearly over now, finish 10th july and got a few odd days of annual leave before then too god i cant wait.

Glad the party went well for Jacob.

I am still here but only 30 days to go. Went for a check up today and as i thought he has moved back to where he has been most of this pregnancy. Head right under my ribs on the left side and feet resting on my hips on the right side.

He is now 4 & 1/2 lbs so is growing just nicely.

I picked up my last lost of meds today hopefully. No more asprin after 34 weeks and i just have to follow the course of the calcium now. Just the clexane left but that will continue untill the baby is 6 weeks old.

I also picked up the steriods today as they are letting me take it to my local hospital for them to do as where i go now is a 40 minute drive. Didn't really fancy doing that two days running.

Also had the swabs for MRSA, hope it comes back ok as if not i will have to be last on the list for the day and hubby is meant to be afternoons that week and we are saving his paternity until i get home from the hospital.

knew there was sthg else - last year for jacob's 2nd birthday we just took him to a farm with my mum and dad - i was still in shock and recovering from ectopic and mc and felt guilty, but it ended up being a really nice day. this time we just had three other of his friends round and their parents,so it was small, but great all chilling out in the garden with a picnic and then trains - where i just sat in the shade with the mums and my mum and the men took their los on the trains!! perfect!!!

    Hey everybody!!!

    Happy birthday to you,

    Happy birthday to you,

    Happy birthday dear Jacob....

    Happy birthday to you!!!'

Hope you all had a fabulous party yesterday Jen... bet you are exhausted today!  It's Finns 2nd birthday in July and I don't know whether to have a party or not.  We will have a party with family and the three of us will go out for the day on the steam train but then I think, should I have a party with some of his friends?  Hmmm, not sure what to do really.

Congratulations on your blue bump Kelly, how exciting! Little boys rock!! (and so do little girls!)

I bought some newborn nappies this week, and a nightie from primark to wear during labour!

Gotta go to me Yoga and active birth lesson in a bit and today we are also having a session on breastfeeding so I've got to take a doll to practise with-hee hee...I did breastfeed Finn for 6 months but it'll be interesting to see if I can get some more tips!!

Had my 28 week check up on wed and it was a nightmare-not only has the MW rung me since and informed me that she hadn't labelled my bloods properly so she would have to do them again, she also told me the next time i will see a mw for a routine check is in 6 weeks when I will be 34 weeks!!! rubbish!  Also bump is only measuring 25cm and should be 28 so a bit small but apparently nothing to worry about at the moment...hmmm.

    Take care peeps,

    Em xxxxxx

aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh mad day today preparing for jacob's party - its only a small one for gods sake but cos its at home we been sorting out garden, doing tip runs, general clearing up, finishing off his big boys room and buying all the food and drink as well as party bag and present wrapping up.

next year we will be going to a playgym an they can do it all and it wont matter if the house is a tip as no-one will be coming to it!! lol

anyway, off for my gaviscon nightcap, yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

hey kelly, hope your mum is ok?

it must be tiring for you worrying/ going to hospital at this stage, so take good care of yourself too xxxxxxxx

good luck with finding out sex - do you have an inclination one way or another???

i'm reet proud of myself for doing more DIY at home toady - only putting up coat hooks and pictures (with wall plugs!!!)  but the pics were tricky as they are a set of four, and i needed to make sure they were all equally apart, as well as putting a new background frame in them and making sure they were even within the frames - sounds a peice of pee, but it was a pain in the bottom!!!! hence why i am only just now getting them up having been in this house 9 months!!!

can you tell we got people coming round on sun for jacob's party and im going all house proud?! lol

anyways, must track down my gaviscon again -

dont know if i put on here, i went to midwife on thursday and i need a growth scan etc as measuring 4 weeks over my dates - 4D scan backed this up too, but ig uess they need to do their own checks too - i also got my gest diabetes test this next week, which miht be a factor. just worried what it means for the birth but it will all come out in the wash

we got jacob's third bday this monday, so a party for him sunday, just a little one as i am too tired to have a big bash, a picnic/ spread at ours then a walk to the miniature railway 5 mins away from our house, which he loves with 2/3 friends with young families and my mum and dad.

he will move properly into his 'big boy' bedroom then, which means i can really get stuck into prepping for the baby, tho i have to say i have got everything now except the clothes and big things we are borrowing from friends.

the crib arrived yesterday - kiddicare are great and so quick, was really pleased.

i am also trying to not do it all now as i really need to get my head down at work and get everything finished, as usual i am going full throttle til the end and its all a bit hectic/ stressful, but i just keep telling myself it will all be done, then i can start the fun of getting hosp bag ready, putting crib up, washing baby's clothes and putting in the drawers

    OK, officially getting excited.

and a little realistic about the tiredness, recovery and impact on jacob, but within 6 months we will be settling back down to some sort of order again i hope

hope you all well, i am off to bed now with my current fave tipple of a swig of gaviscon cool,

    bonne nuit
