I just went back too after you said that. We have clocked up almost 30 pages. I was ten weeks when i joined and i am now 31+3. This palce really has helped me through the weeks. I don't know what i will do when we have all had our little ones. I guess we will have to move over to another board.
3/6/08 21:41
wooo - just looked at our posts from the beginning - i was just 5 weeks when we started the post :-)
never believed id get so far down the line

2/6/08 22:34
i wouldnt bother either em especially as he will regress a little when babba comes along, and undo anything you have done, jacob was about 2 years1 mnth when we started, cos he started us really, and he has been dry for a while, but moving house set him back and then news of thiso ne has set him back again too. but up to you i guess -what i will say is look up 'my wee friends' potty stickers, about £3 from e.g. ebay/ kiddicare they are black sticker that goes in bottom of potty and when hot liquid hits them the black disappears and you get a smiley star face - really encouraged jacob to use the potty

and yes!!! it is going to be Jessica - still need a middle name tho xxxx

Em 22 months is still so young fo potty training.
I started George when he was about 2&1/2 and tool it nice a slowly, it was my mother in law who said that boys can be slower. She also said that if you start to train them too soon and they get ill the first thing they do is revert back to nappies and you have to start over again, which can upset them.
I had George dry all day by the time he went to nursary in sept and out of them completely by christmas with no backwards steps.

Woo hoo!!!
That is fab news Jen! How exciting to have one of each....is she Jessica then?! What does Jacob think about having a little sister? That is really lovely awwww! Looking forward to the pics!
I will be using disposables too-We were going to use reusables for Finn but could never afford the initial outlay. I think there are pros and cons to both really, trying to potty train Finn before bubs arrives but as he is only 22 months it is going very slowly at the moment plus we are being a bit rubish and keep forgetting to encourage him to use the potty etc!
My pain has been a bit better yesterday and today, still there at times tho.
Hope everyone is still doing well, oh and Lane...... GO FOR IT!!!! Get to that checkout girl!!
Em xxxxx

So it looks like we will all be hobbling around like old ladies for the next few months then lol.
Thats great news Jen. I would love one of those scans but i think it is too late now as i am31 weeks today.
I am also using disposable nappies and i am not going to feel bad about it. Surely when you are washing at home you are using resources like the machine and the tumble drier if its winter, then ironing. If you do feel bad i know that you can buy recycled disposables, i saw sheryl crow talking about them on the one show the other day.
I went on the babies r us site today and did a load of shopping but i still can't bring myself to go to the checkout.

aw ems that sounds exactly like spd hon, if it doesnt go away or gets worse, request an appointment with womens physiotherapist pref thru your mw as i think they sometimes go thru as priority, and they can at the least show you ways of moving around (in bed, getting out of bed, out of car etc etc) that will make life easier
4d scan was grrrreat!!! i will upload some piccies another time :-)
and........................................
IT's
A
GIRL!!!!
whoohoo, am pretty chuffed, obviously there's all the usual i dont care as long as its healthy, but i did really hope for it to be a girl, so we will soon be welcoming her into our family. the scan was good, and the three hours in a pub garden afterwards was lovely too, felt really special

what was weird was knowing which bit is which o fher when she pummells me, i am getting kicked in my bladder, not hiccups as her head is still up by my ribs, although they wiggle so much at this stage, she sucked her thumb, yawned and poked herself in her eye (doh!!!) so was quite amusing, measuring 2-4 weeks larger than my dates suggest, so looking to be another big babba!! they also looked at bloodflow from placenta so that was an extra reassurance.
just in process of ordering a crib, and we went in my parents loft yesterday and dug out old pram and jacobs car seat. so its just nappies we need now
had dallied with idea of reuseable but going to be lazy and irresponsible again methinks!!!30/5/08 22:19
Hi Everyone!!
Had a busy half term decorating the house, painting the outside and putting a feature wall of wallpaper in our living room, want to get things one before bubs arrives cos as we all know it will be difficult to do much with a newborn!!
Funnily enough the tommee tippee sterilzer and breast pump were the first things we bought!
Lane. I can't believe how close you are now! That has flown by-so exciting!
Jen, good luck with the scan, are you going to share the gender with us afterwards?!
I'm having some pubic pain in the last week or so, feels like if been kicked in that area and the pain is spreading towards my hips and down my legs...I'm really hoping it's npt spd... what do you reckon? Got my 28 week mw appt on Thurs so will ask then.
I'm tired, gonna watch the end of britins got talent now!
Take care peeps,
xxxxxxxxx

i have even put a bid on a crib on ebay as i will be borrowing a moses basket from a friend, but id like a crib in our room until babba moves out around 6 months - this is the first week i have really been letting myself go withthoughts of this could happen and oh my god we'll have a baby soon!!! in 13 weeks - hard to believe.
much sooner for you, lane
i am so pleased they are keeping an eye on you and seem to be taking good care of you and it will be no time at all, hope you are keeping well.my spd is not so bad at all at the mo, just general turning in bed and i cant do too much walking without it being bad next day, but luckily i have the car, just afraid i will pork out like nobodies business!!!
OHHHHH and gues what???!!!!
we go for our 4D scan TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cant wait, am so excited, tho not so thrilled at my mum, dad, brother, brother in law and their two girlfriends and sister in law all seeing my lard!!!! bump is quite neat for me compared to last time, its just still not what you want to bear to all concerned is it???!!! somehow i dont think they will be looking at me!!!
if you go on youtube and type in 27 and 4D scan you will have an idea of what we will hopefully be seeing tomorrow

Evening all.
Everyone must be busy getting baby stuff ready.
I have only just recovered from the weekend. It was my DH's 40th birthday. I organised a surprise party for him with a live band. He loved it and had no clue.
The baby seems to be doing well and he must be growing as i seem to be having much more trouble getting about and the heartburn has increased then fold.
I have an appointment tomorrow which should set the date of the section. I say should but i am not leaving till i get one lol.
DS is on half term this week and has a project to do on roman towns. He's been a star today and found out lots of info on the net. I am so proud of how hard he has worked.
23/5/08 21:30
hello,
hi kelly: hope you can try and get some chill out time when lo is in bed!!!
my ds is nearly three and i have had knackering day with him today - ever since we told him about babba he has regressed and started wetting/ soiling in the day (he is still in nappies at night). well we have tried sticker charts, rewards, telling off everything. today i have started the ignoring bad and really overpraising the good. he only wet once, but wouldnt tell me and sat in his wet pants and trousers for an hour and a half. i guess we have to undo some of the negativity we have built up over the past couple of weeks: he was prob frightened of telling me as in the past we tried throwing his pants in the bin (fave thomas ones) but hopefully this will now work. who knows.
i just felt so depressed today. it didnt help i waited in all day for a parcel that never came, tho at least that means i was tied to the house and got the spare room all clear so we can start getting it ready for jacobs big boy room
my winge over now!!!!glad you had a good bday lane, i just turnedd 33 the over week too, pretty scary huh?!!!
hope you ok em, half term now
!!!i am nearly 26w (sun) and tummy is beginning to feel as stretched as it can get, but i know theres a long way to go yet!!!! just a week to go til 4D scan, whoohoooo!!!

hi all well i finally got to speak to the health visitor and she said the tightening in my stomach is pressure on my pelvis and she thinks i have pulled a ligament in my stomach thats why i keep getting the pinging feeling she said to take it easy do they not uderstand how hard it is running after a six year old i never have time to relax well moan over how is everyone else xxxxxxxxxxxx
21/5/08 21:14
hi willow happy birthday glad you had a good day my 30th is in aug and i will be huge so i will be celebrating that and my head wetting near the end of the year i think i will have to tell everyone its my 21st again hehe it might work speak to you soon xxxxxxxx
21/5/08 19:56
Hay all.
Hope you have a good holiday Katy, when are you going? I hope that they manage to tell you something about your loses it's pants not knowing.
You moan away KK it really gets my goat when people say they are going to phone back and they don't. I say put your feet up as much as you can.
I am now 29+3, he's still breech/transverse and i can't see him moving now as i think he has run out of room to do that sort of thing. A week tomorrow we will hopefully be setting the date for the c-section. I am putting bets on July 10th as my consultant wants to do the section an he does the elective ones on a thursday.
Daniel was estimated at 2lb13oz just over a week ago so i would say he must have tipped the 3lb mark now. This has to be good as i know its not down to gestational diabities as i passed the test.
I turned 33 yesterday and had a lovely day. DH & DS got me some lovely pressies. A guardian angel ring and an orniment of a mother holding a baby. I had said to Dh the night before that i had decided that i wasn't going to be 33 and that just for that day i was going to be 29. So they got me a cake with 29 on it. Had loads of visitors, two cakes, nail stuff and a chocolate willie lol.
I was also given cash to put towards a new pair of glasses so i am booking in for an appointment on friday to get new ones. George is getting tested too so we will both be having new glasses.
Hope you are all well.

Afternoon Ladies!
Just calling in to say hello! and let you know that we are going on that holiday!
We are having a fortnight in Tingaki, Greece with my best friend and her boyfriend. I've been away with Emma (best friend) before so know that we can get on without falling out too much LOL!
Hope you are all well, I do pop in and read your posts so know that your pg's are going well.
We get our 'big' results on 29 May 2008 at 11.10 am. I'm nervous and itching to know any reasons behind my 3 MC's but trying to stay relaxed.
Will let you know how we get on.
Love and hugs to all, Katy xxx

Well i finally jumped in and bought stuff for my hospital bag today. Nappies and what not. Found a nice pair of PJ's in asda that buttong up and are cotton for just a fiver and my lovely big pants. Mind you i can tell its been a long time since i bought nappies as when i did you had pampers, huggies and stores own brand...now there are about three different types of pampers to choose from.
Also getting in tidying mode, bought a load of storage boxes to go under my bed to get some of the clutter out of the babies room. All my craft supplies.
