    the class sounds great em!!!

i did yoga  with my pregnancy with jacob, but when i struggled at 24 weeks even doing the lifting one foot up slightly off the floor, i spoke to yoga lady and it was her who recognised it wasnt normal preg aches and to go and see physio, and that the yoga exercises were no good.

they do recomend pilates, which strengthen core body muscles tho, i keep looking for a class, but will have to wait til mat leave as when i am off work i have jacob, lol!!

    Evening all,

Got my old laptop back  so really pleased... The laptop I use for teaching is totally falling to bits!

Jen I know what you maean about being surprised about the size of your bump, Sometimes I catch a glimpse of mine and it takes me by surprise big time!  We should get some pics on here to compare bumps!

I will be working up until the summer hols which is mid July.  Won't actually be starting my maternity leave until the week before my due date as I will be off work anyway but want to get paid up to the last possible minute.  I intend to take 9 months off too-looking forward to spending time with new bubs and Finn-gonna be pretty tiring tho hey!

Oh yeah and I'm starting an active birth with yoga class next week, it's taken by a midwife so hoping it will be good-it's supposed to be good for SPD too...have you ever tried doing Yoga to help with your SPD Jen?

    Night night, xxxxxx

thats great em, i love this stage!!!! i love my bump, and the squiggles.

at my mums she has floor length mirrors in the bedrooms, so i got a real shock getting undressed as i hadnt seen my bump from that angle before!!!

carrying on the getting organised at home and with finances - long slow journey but getting there.

i worked out all my annual leave and mat pay etc and i can afford 9 months off work, so will go back early may 2009, and i only have 8 full weeks left to work, with a couple of weeks where i am just working odd days, so i every child i see i am assessing and writing their last report from me, so i should be wrapped up in time. dont have too many i see for regular therapy, most i work with education staff, giving advice and therapy targets, so it ewill be good to finish work for good at 32 weeks, just may and june left, whoohoo!!!!!

hope everyone else is good xxxxxxxxxxx

Hey everyone!  I'm in floods tonight... started off looking at video of Finn about a year ago when he was just starting to walk holding on to stuff and chuckling away at us making faces at him...sooooo cute!  Anyway then I watched a programme about young grannies and that was making me cry at well!! What a wreck!

Had a look at Jacobs swimming pictures Jen, they are brilliant!  We do waterbabies with Finn and had an underwater photo shoot but the pics were not as good as yours!  I agree it is the best thing to do, we'll be doing it with no 2 cos Finn loves it!

Everything seems fine with bump got lots more movement these days which is great.

My laptop is falling to bits so I'm going to sign off now as the keys are doing my head in!

    Take care everyone-keep in touch!

    xxxxxx

    hello everyone

    how are you all?

cheeky, hope your cold is better.

em, how is your tummy now, is everything ok?

lane - ive been thinking about stuff for baby, as well as continuing to dwell on the birth and everything that could go worng - i didnt do this till last 6 weeks with jacob (2 of which were overdue weeks!), but on the positive side, thinking of everything i will nedd for the baby...

last time we got by borrowing so much - a moses basket, a crib (so we had basket downstairs and lovely crib upstairs), we borrowed a play thing, you know with the bars with dangling toys over, a bouncy chair, (3 we were given, i didnt want to offend anyone and say no!!!)  and a baby carrier, and we binned our steriliser,so it looks like i will have to either go shopping OR put out another begging call to everyone!!!! trouble is the people we borrowed from have babies again, but who knows?!

the more we can save the better, as theni can spend my pennies on baby swimming classes, which we did with jacob - i will try and post a picture on my photos of him swimming underwater - it was great fun, tho i hardly did it with him as i couldnt go in water til jacob was 9 months and the wound on ym breast absess had healed, so i am really hoping i will get a chance this time

also, i have booked our 4D scan today, for five weeks time when i will be 27 weeks, so excited!!!!

its my birthday on thursday (may day) we have just been out for a meal (indian as chinese seems to set off my ectopic/ erratic heartbeat, wonder if its the MSG or something?!), yummy yummy!!! dh was laughing as he says i have started waddling, bringing back all the memories from last time!!!! i just suddenly feel much heavier today and spd is having an effect, although thankfully its not painful at the moment, and i am generally feeling really healthy and well, despite a cold last week. jacob is also having a lovely week, he as teething a bit last week, and full of cold too, so a bit tetchy, but this week he is just a gem

he asked me in the car when was the baby coming out of mummy's tummy (he speaks to it down the bellyphone!) and i said not for a while yet, its not big enough, then he said when the baby comes out i will need to learn it to talk cos babies dont know how to talk so i will say goo goo gaga so he learns how to talk.

    well, thats me, waffling again!!!!!!

hope you are all well, take care xxx

    Hi all.

I have had a busy weekend and have also had to pry hubby off the pc so haven't posted in ages.

I went to a thing called Wonderwool on saterday and bought some lovely crafting things including some nice wool to attempt to make something for the baby. There was a food fair there too but i missed out on trying a few things as alot of it was boose.

Yesterday i went to mothercare world. I didn't buy anything but i did see the pram i want and get to have a play with it so now my mind is totally made up on it. I looked at bottles and some clothes. I just couldn't bring myself to buy anything. I had the buying frenzy a few weeks ago and now i seem scared to buy anything all over again. The one thing i would have bought wasn't in the size i wanted, i checked my local mothercare and they don't stock it so i am gutted. Will have to check back again next time i go.

Baby seems to be well and wriggling lots which i love. Only two weeks left in work then i have 5 weeks holiday until i start maternity leave. 10 weeks till we hopefully get to meet this little man.

I am not ready at all either.....which reminds me i need to send hubby up to the attic to see if the bolts are with the cot and if we still have the carrycot from George.

OOPs, forgot to answer Jen about VBAC etc... What a dilemma, these decisions are so hard to make, it always feels like whatever you do it will be the wrong decision!

I would be strongly tempted to have elective c section.  I think emergency ones are so traumatic and are probably more dangerous (sorry i don't know that for sure!)  I was so close to having an emergency section and it was horrendous.  Far better to have the relatively calm experience of elective c section.   I know the healing time is a bit of a drag, hmmmm, it's a tricky one.

Sorry haven't been any help have I!!

    Hi Everyone,

Aww, Kelly, glad everything seems ok.   It is def reassuring to have bump growing nicely, how exciting!

I've had a funny day today.  Finn kicked me in the stomach by accident, his foot landed just above my tummy button and it bloody hurt!  It was a stinging pain that lasted about 10 seconds and then went away so I was just a bit sore all over my tum.  I was obviously worried so I posted on DIA where some ladies said they thought it would be fine but then another lady said she had had a minor car crash during her last pregnancy and although she herself was not at all hurt, tests at the hospital showed that the placenta was bleeding into baby... So this got me even more worried so rang mw who said go up to fetal assessment unit.  Off I went and had a quick scan and the mw seemed to think everything is ok.  I am still a bit concerned but having a rest and seeing how things go over the next few days, hopefully all will be fine.  Got no pain and can feel bubs wriggling but can't help but worry!!!!  What are we like!

    Hope everyone is all good,

    Big hugs, Em xxxxxxxxx

hi everyone xxx hope you are all well.

how are you doing cheeky? read on another thread it would have been you due date yesterday, thinking of you xxxxx

i am having paranoia about what is best option for birth, scared stiff something will go wrong if i have a natrural birth, i dont want c-sction cos of the invconvenience, forr me but is that being selfish? what if it is a big babba and it gets stuck and dies or the labour is too long and something goes wrong? maybe i should just opt for csection as safest for baby. i am about 70% certain any attempt at vbac will end up as c-section anyway, given i wont go over my due dates which means i would prob have an induction.

    Hi Jen, Lane and others!

Sorry I haven't been on for a little while...been on a little road trip to bournemouth and london to see my brother and my sis in law.  Was good fun and we had lots of nice food etc but it's lovely to be home!!!

Have still not bought anything for the baby (apart from sterizer and breastpump!) Really like the 'made with love' range in Mamas and Papas and the stripey blanket form the 'gingerbread' range.  Just can't bring myself to tempt fate  by buying anything yet.

In the last day or 2 I've felt a bit more movement, when I am lying on my back in bed I feel a bit more and If DH puts his hand on my tum he can feel it too! The sonographer told me that the reason  I haven't been feeling much movement is cos of where placenta is (at the top towards the front of my tummy).  Also I've seen a mw once this pregnancy and not due to see another one til 24 weeks...haven't yet had my wee tested or anything!

Better go as DH is still in bed and Finn wants me to pay with his cars!

    Take care girlies xxxxx

    ooooooooohhhhhhh look.............................

    tumbleweed

hope everyone is well, i can finally see bump moving, a lot later than with jacob, but mw said that is cos placenta is at front of tummy so it needs a harder kick to show through god dont they talk crap!!! saw mw for second time this pregnancy, found out that noone else lieks her either, whilst we were all waiting for her to see us and i dont see her again til 28 weeks. feels a right joke!!!!

feeling particularly thick today as 3rd yr student started and was asking loads of intelligent/ research-based questions, ah well, should keep me on my toes

thats great lane each week down is a week safer xxx

moved all furniture round in front room today as i kept asking dh to move it every night so i could lie out on long sofa watching tv and vegging - now i have moved it all round so i can permanently veg, lol!!!!

tonight was first night i could see my bump moving!!!! dh came and kept giving a little stroke to bump and bump would kick back!!!! really feel properly pregnant now - shame bump has to get disgustingly huge next!!!!!

well, going to go see if my other website i post on is open again - the ectopic trust shut its forums down for at least 10 days as they get loads of spam, and although they deal with most of it, some of the posters really complained about it, but worse than that, started accusing the trust of doing on purpose to raise revenue!!!!!! they are a charity for women who have had ectopics, and these people were accusing them of letting spammers post pornographic pictures on threads for the trusts profit!!!! as if!!! anyway they responded by shutting the forums down to put a proper fix in place, tho i think really they were taking their bat and ball home

god i do waffle too much...

    Hay all.

Sorry i have been awol, i have been trying to knit my hubby a pair of socks ready for his birthday and i am not the quickest do i have had to forgo some of my suffing which has meant i have read but not had time to post.

Jen i think i may have to try that crawling on all fours thing when i am having a bad day. It's not too bad most days but when i do too much my body tells me off so to speak.

Speaking of J names I like the name Jack for a boy too but my sister in law got there before me. For a girl I like Janie/Janey however you want to spell it. I think that comes from hubby's obssession with Bruce Springsteen as alot of his female charecters in his songs are called that.

I am 24 weeks now, i can't believe it. Thats the last of my mile stones passed. I know i am not safe untill he gets here but atleast now if the drugs stop working and he needs to come early he will now stand a chance.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Hey girlies!

Hee, hee, got a great image in my mind of Jen crawling around her house on all fours!!!  sorry your ectopic heartbeat is causing you to feel a bit grotty-poor you, hope it sorts itself out soon.

Yo Katy!  Lovely to hear from you-hope all is well in Katy land!  I'll add all the babydust and glue I possibly can to the mix for you too xxxx

As for me, I'm pootling along!  Bump has had a growth spurt in the last few days, I went out for my friends 30th last night and bought a really nice black jersey dress from the maternity section in New Look-it was only 18 pounds and is great for going out (not that I do much of that these days!).  Need to buy some more maternity bits but trying to hold off for the weather to improve so I don't end up with stuff I can't wear when it gets warmer.

I am absolutely shattered lots of the time too...just can't get enough sleep-anyone else like this?  speaking of which...bed time for me!  Night night.

    Take care ma booties!
