Its happened to me too, allot during this pregnancy for some reason. The first time was at 16 weeks and the MW took ages finding it, then again at 21 weeks and this time really worried me as it took about 20 mins to find, then again at 33+5 when my consultant tried to listen to it but i think it was down to him not being able to use the Doppler properly.

Yes this happened to me... ive be listening in at home with my own doppler&picking up fh however at 15wks my midwife couldnt find it in fact she called another docter in to try&she couldnt find it either!! ! I was sent to be scanned due to my previous history&all was fine so try not to worry they say it can be difficult to pick up until about 18wks as it has so much room still to move around.

I have not had midwife try yet, but we got a doppler and some days we can find it easily or after 1/2 hour or so and then others it is like little one has popped out shopping - nothing at all! My mum reckons that their monitors are not that brill either, so I would try not to worry and just assume that it is like one of our "out shopping" days and hopefully next time she will find it - do you know anyone who has a doppler you could borrrow?
