hiya - if an earlier scan enables them to accurately show viability and date your pregnancy they will sometimes cancel your dating scan. bit of a bugger really.

i was checked out for ectopic purely cos i had one previously and only have one tube remainding, so they were kind enough to give me early scan so if it happened again i would be less likely to lose a tube - i say kindly as i only got an early scan as we moved area - the hospital where i had both a mc and ruptured with an ectopic refused to give me an early scan when i was pregnant with what ended up being another mc (my third loss last yr)

i think you can often get back ache, water infections and sometimes side pains from the ?corpus luteum that the egg leaves - as well as general stretching pains from uterus growing - its all pretty worrying at this stage, i just tried to take each day as a bonus and it does speed up eventually,

did you have reason to think it was eptopic then i had a few pains in side and back but doc says it all related to water infection what do you think its just like i waiting for something bad to happen its horrible

i had one at 6w which dated me at 5w2d, so i went back 2 weeks later for a viability scan as first one was too early (tho it was to rule out ectopic, so at least verified it wasnt another of them!!)

as i was 7w2d, they were able to date me from that so i had no scan at 12/3 weeks, and it was horrible waiting then from 7w to 20w.

i had mc in august and am preg again 6wks and 5 days just wondering if i had an early scan do i still get another
