i know that dandy walker syndrome is very rare. i believe its a brain malformation. my friends baby was diagnosed with it and she also lost her baby. It genetic but only happens 1 in every 25,000 babies. She went on to have a healthy baby with no complications after. i know it must be hard but you must try and be positive about your baby.
good luck

hi, I lost a baby at 24 weeks 4 years ago through dandy walker syndrome and had a misscarriage april this year. Im not 14 weeks with this pregnancy but am starting to panic that this baby might have dandy walker to! this baby is with a different partner to my 1st baby but when speaking to my midwife she says she has never heard of it and isnt much help. Please does anyone now if its aa high chance this baby will have the syndrome even through this baby have a different dad??
