Hi, yep it sounds like a blocked duct or mastitis alright. I just recently got mastitis and luckily it was the day i went to my b/feeding group.  my symptoms - had a red patch on one breast, painfull to touch (hard) and felt really tired and flu like.  i did catch it in time through without having to take antibiotics what they advised me to do was... express or feed every 3 hrs for 24hrs then every 4 hrs for the next 24 hrs.

It sounds like you know that you dont have mastitis symptoms but thought i would write mine down just in case your syptoms change (if it does you should go to the docs). in the mean time try positioning her on your breast in different positions because she's the best person to drain your milk, or try expressing after your feed to drain the breast down, or take a nice warm bath and massage in the water always massaging towards the nipple so the milk comes out.

Hiya, not much help really. But it might be a blocked duct or mastitis. I would go to the Dr to get it checked. You shouldn't have pain. I hope its better soon.

during last night i started getn a very sore pain under my left breast. i have fed my other 2 kidsn nothing like this happened so was wondering if any1 knew wot wascausing it and how do i get it to go away? during the night i feed lying on my side so i can rest properly, do u think this is the cause. there is no redness just a horrible pain n is very sore 2 touch.

id be grateful of any advice xxxx
