I could never freeze my breastmilk and use it. Some women have a larger amount of the enzyme Lipase in their breastmilk which causes it to sour when it is thawed. I could used fresh EBM for DD, but never frozen and thawed.
Have you looked at how you have thawed it? (Sorry I can't remember if you said how you did it).
I only realised my problem after I had a huge abount of EBM frozen away for DD! Never ot to use any of it!

I've had the same problem this time....didn't with ds....i tried to give some to lo not realising and she screamed blue murder, couldn't figure out what on earth was wrong till i smelt it and i put a bit on my finger, it tasted foul.....poor dd, no wonder she was screaming. I've tried a couple of different bags and it's made no difference. Sorry i'm no help. xx

sorry if people have posted about this before
but I have noticed that when I deftost my my milk it smells sour - I have to admit I myself am dairy intolerant and the smell of any milk makes me feel a little sick, but I was really worried so I threw the milk away.
straight after I have expressed the milk doesnt really have a smell, I sterilise the pump and store the milk in lansiloh bags in the back of the freezer straight after expressing!
any ideas? i'm a bit gutted as my milk is starting to dry up and I wanted to use all my frozen supplies to give my dd as much goodness as poss ?????

I had this with dd1 - just a load of sour milk - not sure why but it semlt sour and tasted it.
I Expressed at other times, froze it and it defrosted fine it just seemed to be for a couple of weeks that it kept going off - I just guess my milk was different those few weeks for some reason.
