    Nice reassuring article to get some different perspective;

    I'll give it a go expressing in the mornings. I'm sure expressed milk can be kept in the freezer for 3 months so if I can get a little supply for my mum it may help.

    I'm just worried that my daughter won't take the milk. I will have to be leaving her at about 7 - 7:15am  to get into work before 8:30 and I won't be back with her till about 5pm so it's a long time to go without any milk. Usually she has a big feed between 8 - 9 and then a bit more around lunch time but also if she's upset or can't sleep she tends to have a feed then. I don't want her getting distressed while I'm at work because she can't have any milk. I'm probably just being silly.

    I'm hoping all will b okay with the milk supply as I know when I went back to work with my son I was able to feed him during the morning, evenings, weekends and when I was off work without a problem. I've spoken with my firm though & they're going to let me use one of hte meeting rooms to express during my lunch break & I'm going to get one of those mini fridges to put in my office to keep the milk safe from any unsuspecting colleague (sure they wouldn't get them mixed up but I'd die if they did lol)

    I will get some cow & gate too. I tried her with some SMA (my son would have that as well as breast when he was a baby but she just hated it) and I brought some of the aptimal to see if that works but again she just gets really upset after a few minutes.

    have you tried the doidy cup? they are recommended for babies who wont take a bottle they are fab and my lo loves his!

    as for expressing i found it hard too but as other lady said first thing is best as thats when theres the most milk.

    if you try and express at everyfeed you may get enough.

    will he not go the whole day without milk?

    what is the main problem your worried about the supply or him taking it?

    Hav u tried expressing first thing in the morning with lo feeding from the other side as you do it? Also, have you tried different formulas? In my and my friends experience, bf babies seem to have a preference for Cow and Gate.

    Please help!! I'm due back at work 20th October and am really struggling to get dd to take from a bottle. She's been bf only till now (she's 7 months old) and has been on solids just under a month. She's fine eating food but I've tried giving her formula milk the other day out of a bottle & beaker and she just didn't want to know. I don't know if it had anything to do with me being there that she knew I would feed her but I just don't think I'll have the time to express enough milk off for her to feed during the day whilst I'm at work.

    I bf my ds till he was 18 months & I went back to work when he was 6 months old so I would bf in morning, evenings and weekends (& of course if holiday or day off etc) and found that I didn't have any problem with my milk supply but ds was really good and would take bottle with formula, expressed or breast.

    I just don't know what I'm going to be able to do and unfortunately I'm no longer at the surgery where the expert breastfeeding health visitor worked.

    Thanks
