I have got the nuri=sing chair with stool, and I LOVE it!!
I hardly used it at first as LO was in my bedroom and I used the rainbow pillow - but since 12 weeks she has been in her room and I couldnt do with out it, I feed her in it before she goes to bed and then we rock and snuggle till she is asleep, if she wakes in the night she is really good and as soon as I am sitting down she will go back to sleep while feeding, if I take her in to my room instead she is wide awake, so I just use the chair.
I never had one with dd1 and I love it this time as otherwise I would have nowhere to sit in dd2's room and she would be awake constantly if I had to feed her in my room!
She is 16 weeks now and sleeps from 6.30pm to 5.45am, without being fed, I feed her and she would sleep till 9am if I didnt get her up! I do rock her back and forth but make sure she is still awake before putting her down!
I wouldnt be without it now and it only cost me £40 on ebay!

In the first few days I found it easier to get LO to latch on lying down, so chairs were unnecessary. When they are small you need support to get them high enough to feed (my boobs aren't huge), but DS is now nearly 9 weeks and we can feed almost anywhere, in any position, he often feeds almost sitting up!
I do have a chair in the nursery but never use it, during the day he feeds where ever we happen to be and at night I feed him in my bed.

I really wanted one of the glider chairs and footstools - but they were so expensive we didn't bother - tbh I didn't miss it and don't think I would have used it much anyway
I would think hard before buying one as there are so many other things you could use the money for

on the advice of my NCT teacher I bought a POANG chair from IKEA, costs about £50-70 depending on the cushions you choose, and it's great. I used a blowup cube as a footstool for the first weeks only (as I had really swollen feet after labour) but not since then so I think the footstool that seems to come with these "nursing chairs" is probably superfluous.
I wouldn't bother spending money on a "nursing chair" specifically (especially as most of them look so naff). But I would definitely recommend the v-shaped or "widgey" pillow as mentioned below. I got the "widgey" and it's fantastic

Hi,
I bought a Dutailer glider chair from Mothercare with footstool and I find it the most comfy way to breastfeed baby. I also use one of those half doughnut feeding cushions as well. With baby nestled in there you have both hands free to read etc.

has anyone bought 1 of these specially designed for feeding los with the stool aswel just wondered whether or not it was a worth while purchase before buying one x

I got one of the glider one's off e-bay for £40.00 and it was like brand new. I used it for a couple of weeks (as a novelty) but as Ben is still sleeping in our room and sleeps through the night don't use it as much. I know I will definately be using it once Ben is in his own room.
