im not sure how long been doing it a while this is one reason he gets mix fed. hes a  big bby though and hetakes 6oz bottles and then hour later wants more so never be able to fuly bf

i also have a 22month old to look after. whenever he has a bottle i use my medela bp n im also taking fenugreek for 2 weeks so am trying to up as much as poss

Also meant to say - how long have you felt he was not satisfied? Babies have growth spurts at 3-4 and 6 weeks so your LO could be going through one.

Does he need to burp? DD used to fuss once or twice a feed but would feed beautifully again once she'd released some wind. As they gulp down the first bit, they are more likely to get wind then before the thicker milk comes in.

All the time you are topping up with FF, you will be diminishing your milk supply: if you are able to, spend a day or two in bed with LO letting him/her (sorry, poor memory)suckle as often as they need. I don't know much about mixed feeding - sorry.

hi my son is 5 weeks old and im hvaing to mix feed as hes a very hungry bby and never satisfied.

I have noticed though when my thicker milk comes in he will start fussing-hes fine with the wtery stuf though hes done this a few times and i was wondering if anyone elses did this or if this would be effecting muy supply as hes not emptying me will my boobs still produce more or just abit to replace the watery stuff??

I was hoping to finally get to fully bf but hes jut so hungry all the time-he will have 6oz bottles now and still want more!
