I cant believe they never treated you automatically, you would just keep passing it to each other. Yes it does sound like thrush go to the doctors and get some treatment for it, it soon clears up when you are both being treated.

I had it in my milk ducts and it felt lie I kad a hammer thumping inside my breasts - it hurt after the feed rather than during the feed.

Fluconazole for 10 days worked for me.

Hi we had thrush at 5 weeks - dd is now 20 weeks

we were both treated which I think is the correct way as there is no point treating lo and not you as you will just keep passing it to babes - yes I has sore red shiny nipples and the pain was worse than the first few weeks of feeding - I also had some shooting pains through my breast

my advice is to go back to gp asap as sometimes pain in the breast can mean that the thrush is in your milk ducts

luckily this wasn't the case with me - I had cream for my nipples and dd had gel for her mouth- it cleared up in a few days

I'm not sure about the headaches etc but I think mastitis can bring on flu symptoms but I think that comes with red hot patches on breasts
