HI there my dd is the same I took her clothes off today at 4pm and she still hadnt done anything by 7.30 then it was bath and bedtime so I had put a nappy on for bed and she had did it in that.  I had been with her for the last hour and kept saying to her to try the potty which she did but still nothing. I have tried her a few times and she will sit on the potty and the toilet but  she still hasn't done her first pee yet and I feel if she just did it once then it will click with her. She has had a few accidents and will come and tell you straight away but I feel I have to be with her all the time in order to catch her first pee which is not alway practical when you have another 2 kids runing around and asking for things.  You would think with another 2 older brother and sister I should know but dd is proving more difficult than her older sibling lol. Any advice Gillian

Cheers!  She did a wee about half an hour later lol!  Its a bit like feast and famine at the moment - I'm on day 4 and she has managed to wee in the potty twice today (I think she did that wee in the potty) and pee'd her pants the rest of the time - had about 4 pees this afternoon!  She doesn't tell you, and if I keep asking her to sit on the potty after a while she gets stroppy and won't use it.  She just pee'd in the pantry - euch!

shows she has good bladder control and can hold alot. i would say it is ok as long as she still wees. which i guess by now you should have had another wee.

This is day 4 of potty training my dd (3 next month) and its been very hit a miss to say the least!  Today though, she has only wee'd at 8.30am this morning (in her pants!) and I'm still waiting for the next one!  She's sat on the potty a few times but nothing is happening - and she's had quite a bit to drink so she must be busting - is this normal?
