hi with ds whom hated having a poo in potty we used to put a clean nappy in the potty when he needed to go and slowly when he relaxed in being so anxious about using the potty we removed the nappy put on to start with so he saw it then distracted him whilst it was removed just before he sat down hope that makes sence

Hi, my dd was the same with both.
1. With her wee's we bought her some princess pants and told her that the princess didnt want to get wet and if she did then she would have to wear boring pants. The princess never got wet
2. with poos, she would freak out at the sensation of it just being there (tmi) so I sat her on the potty when I saw her starting to go and we read some books, did a puzzle etc. Once she did it that once, she was fine.
Hope it helps

We had same prob with DS just didnt want to poo on potty. We been potty training for 4 weeks and just mastering it now and no accidents. Keep going, although you need the patience of a saint. All of a sudden it just clicks. We used stickers for potty to get him to poo on potty and bought him something special ready for when he did it and worked.

Hi. We've been potty training DD for 2 weeks now (she's 2.5 yrs) and we have 2 problems - any advice gratefully received!!
- she will quite happily we on the potty when prompted but seems unable to decide herself when she needs to go
- she refuses to poo on the potty - filling her pants instead. She'll come and tell us when she's done it but will not sit on the potty or toilet to do it.
Overall I guess things are going well as she is very keen to wear pants and use the potty apart from the 2 stumbling blocks which we do not know how to overcome. Is it a case of just wating longer....?

oh and lots of praise when he did
