My eldest son was like this-showing all the signs they tell you to look for, but just not interested in potty training.  I didn't push it, and about 3 months before his 3rd birthday he said he needed a pee and was going to the toilet.  That was it-can count the amount of accidents he had on 1 hand!  I would leave it a while, and try again in a month or so.  I do sympathise on the cost of nappies though!

Maybe he isn't quite ready then,I really want to get my ds done,he is also 2 and a half.I spoke to my hv and she said that boys are more difficult than girls (your telling me,did dd in a week,no probs) she said not to force him!!Not that I have but he's not too keen on a potty or the toilet either,I have bought one of those training seats aswell but still no,I am going to ring my hv up in the week and see what she suggests as I really want to get him done.x
