I have been told that some children don't like doing it in full view, you could try putting the potty in a hidden place? Behind the sofa, maybe....or in ' the ' corner.
Other ideas that have been recommened to me are, try sitting his favourite teddy on the potty and tip some water in it. Praise the teddy lots and give it a sticker (or treat, if it works hey) and hopefully your son will want some of the ' glory ' ??? and go on the potty?? I'm not sure if it will work, i didn't need to try it, bedtimes is the problem area for us
Hope this helps

we had the same problem, my LO is 2 1/2 and we had our first totally dry day today yay!! when ever we were in the house i took his trousers and nappy off and most of the time he would use the potty, but if we put pants on he would wee straight through them, last week i decided to stay in as much as possible so he could have his nappy off all the time after 3 days of nappy off almost all day i tried pants and it worked! he wet slightly then realised he had pants on and pulled them down, we went out for the day today with pants on and he's been dry all day!! yay!!!

dont really know why just said in the info pack i had he could still go with nappys but if he dirtys it they wouldnt change so id rather him be potty trained than spend all morning in a dirty nappy but hes doing really well last few days no accidents accept today when i tried him with some pants then had a few accidents think he keeps mistaking them for nappys.

hi my little girl will be 3 end of sept and still has nappys, although she will use the toilet if shes busy playing she will forget herself.nursery have also said she has to be out of nappys by september but nothing you can do but keep trying.

sorry just had to say, the nursery cannot change nappies??? why is that? you LO is still young and to say he must be potty changed for nursery is really putting a time limit on it which your LO may not be ready for, my eldest son was 3yrs before potty/ toliet and then dry at night too, so he knew when he could control bladder etc but i couldnt get him to do it any earlier altho we tried and tried. he would wear pull ups at nursery then pants - plenty of spares....!!! good luck, but dont let other people dictate when your LO should be ready - we are all different.

Hey. i my daughter was 2 in May and since then i have been trying to get her to use her potty please note im not a pushy parent and understand that she may not be ready. But she is very good she will tell me if she needs the toilet most of the time. When she does use the potty straight away shes up and clapping ''Mummy Daddy i done it.. YYaaaYYY!'' and we always praise her as it is essential. She will mainly use the potty if she has no nappy on but when she is wearing her nappy we always put knickers on over the top and make her aware she has them on, as we found she thinks she is wearing knickers so asks to use the potty.
I have a ds but is only 9 and half months so when his time comes im sure ill find it alot more tricky! Good Luck, be patient and give praise
