I have started the early stages of potty training with my DD who is 2 in two weeks. I have been taking off her nappy at various points during the day and getting her to sit on the potty (inviting not forcing) and play stickers and look at books, which she is keen and enthusiastic about doing. We have had quite a few wees in there but I don't think she makes the association yet as obviously she still wees in a nappy when she has one on.
I am not sure what to do next. I think I need to let her walk round nappy free and encourage her to go to the potty to wee and that she needs to wee on the floor a few times in order to see the difference between weeing in a potty and on the floor.
Finding the time is so hard though as I have a 5 month old son too and am on my own most of the time and even when my DH is here he is not great with the baby. Also what about going out? She is in 3 playgroups (where I stay too) and we do go out and about quite a lot.
