Mil's... they can never say anything helpful, can they? lol Mines the same, but her boys were dry day and night by 2! I think their memory gets a little iffy as they get older!! lol I can understand your frustration, my ds1 was really bad at training and even though i'm now starting on ds2 and he is more capable he's still not quite getting it. I think it helps if you try and relax, when i was stressed with ds1 it seemed to make him worse and more reluctant. You just need to be patiant, which is really hard. My ds2 (21/2) has been potty trainng properly for 3 days and although he is very good at knowing when he needs a poo, he's still having accidents. But i'm not going to put him back in nappies, i think it might just confuse him. When we go out i get him to go before hand and at any point at which there is a toilet. Or if i got out for too long i'll take the potty. As they get better at home the going out thing just happens too, you just have to remember to get them to go regularly, even if it isn't much.

I'm new to this thread but really would like some advice, My lttle girl is 27months old and have been potty training for about the last 2 months i first started at home for a week and used a reward chart a few accidents no knickers on though as she can't seem to have mastered pulling them up or down yet. Then took her out and used a pottee and well i offered her the pottee and she said no and well 1 min later she had peed herself even though the potty was in front of her she seemed good at home was given praise and little rewards but was really finding it hard going out so put her in a pull up nappy and thats how it went from then on, though mother in law seemed to put her in knickers when they took her out.

we then continued to just have her sit on the potty at home she always does poo's in her potty but sometimes she just wee's on things as she can't be bothered to sit on her potty it seems as though she is doing it deliberately and well we've been firm with her and told her off and praised her when she has reached the potty si this the right thing to do. Well last wk we went away on holiday and hubby said lets potty train her well she was good at the beginning of the wk but as it went on she slowly deteriated 4 pairs of wet clothes.

We have tried sitting her on the potty but she gets up set and i don't want to deter her anymore, i personally want to still train her at home but put the nappies on while we go out, but hubby keeps saying oh she's never goona be ready till she's 6 but then i'm the one at home with her most of the time, also mother in law keeps saying son was dry at 12 months which grates me even more.

I would really appreicate any advice and if anyone is going through the same, the thing is i'm also 5 months preg which dosn't make a big difference but it may to her. I don't not want to go out but also don't want to go through 10 pairs of trousers sorry for the long thread. Thanks in advance xx
