Hi,my daughter was lactose intolerant and my Dp cant eat dairy,I substitute milk for soya milk now, when younger my DD was younger she couldnt even have that and as someone else said butter or marg for non dairy alternative such as a brand called Pure available in most supermarkets.Instead of gravy granules you can use veggie low salt cubes or later on bisto and oxo cubes both dairy free, you can adapt most recipes this way.You will get used to checking ingredients and learn what is and isnt safe, just check everything as sometimes the most unlikely things contain milk.Good luck.

    Hi,

Most of the tings I make don't have milk. Casseroles all types, spag bol, risotto, curry, ratatouille, for anything with mashed potato just add some no salt veg stock instead of milk, or perhaps some passata(seived tomatoes) to get a good consistency, pizza breads.

Hope this has given you some ideas.

u can try goats milk instead of cows milk, thats what i use and u dont notice any taste difference....

u get goats cheese and butter... which helps get the calcuim in them.... u can get a drink from the drs for increasing calcium intake

my little girl can't have milk and I've got dairy-free spread ("Pure" from supermarket) and use her soya formula in place of milk.  Someone has suggested we try "Dream" (rice milk with added calcium),
