Hi, I have just come back from driving through to the south of france with my 6 month old and found 'plum' baby food really successful. www.plum-baby.co.uk he was happy to eat itwithout warming it and loves it all as much as my home made stuff! Quite pricey but worth it as it is all organic and very easy for while we were travelling. The baby food in france was rarely organic and for some reason the stuff you buy out there is in massive portions too! I would take as much with you as possible as my LO didn;t really like the stuff we bought over there. Good luck!12/6/08 14:09
Hi there, My son is 22 months but he still likes the Heinz's Mothers Own recipies (the big plastic pots rather than the jars) they are from 10 months+ but i am sure that you could mash them down. He would much rather eat them than the jars (which he has about 3 - 4 mouthfuls then refuses any more). Hope this helps! Enjoy your holiday.

Hello
I make all my own but when we have taken our little one away (once to Egpt and then to Jamaica for my sisters wedding) we took Plum pots. She loves them! Sainsburys and botts stock a good variety of them.
Also took blender and gave her some of the food we were eating. It may also be worth researching on the internet as there are a couple of companies that make homemade food and shop it to where you are staying (frozen) I know in the back of some baby magazines they advertise about delivering while on holidays in spain so sure they would do france?!

I have tried to get my 7mth ds to have some food jars instead of homemade, but he has gone from cant eat fast enough to crying and making the whole thing a complete nightmare, I have just spent the last hour tring to get him to eat and me in floods of tears thinking he now hates me!
has anyone had this problem? we are driving to france on Wed next week and cant see how I can get my homemade stuff there without defrosting or going off.
Does anyone know of any preprepared stuff that tastes closer to homemade? I dont care how much the stuff cost I am just desperate for my happy baby back
please any advice welcomed
Thanks and sorry for the mini rant
Alex xx
