My LO's have sausages (youngest is 9 1/2 months) - I just buy normal ones but I usually just have a look to see which ones have the least salt in them.
Yes he is 7 1/2 months. Think I need to make more food from scratch and rely less on sauces etc. I did look at the salt content of the sausages and checked on the salt website and decided a quarter of a sausage blitzed up with mash and carrot (no salt in those) will be fine. Thanks
How old is your LO?? After 6 months they can basically eat everything (except honey and whole nuts and anything that any of your family have allergies to) BUT you really need to avoid salt too. If you have a lot of processed things then you would be best to check the labels for how much salt/sodium there is. If you're cooking from scratch you can get low salt things like Kallo veg stock cubes and low salt gravy granules which will help and you can make quite basic pasta sauces with some veg and tinned tomatoes so it doesn't need to take ages and you would all be able to eat it. Just remember not to add salt to your pasta or veg when you're cooking it either. My two basically eat what we eat - so much easier, I'm far too lazy to make two lots of food every meal lol
This has probably been done but my LO seems to prefer leftovers that I blitz in the blender to anything I have made specifically for him to eat i.e. AK recipes.
Can I give him all the stuff that DH and I eat now? We often eat processed foods i.e. sausages, pasta sauce from a jar, packet casserole mix etc. I've only given him roast dinner as their are no additives but I am finding that cooking the seperate recipes of meat and chicken meals can be expensive not too mention time consuming!
Thanks x

i personally wouldnt give sausages coz they put so much random rubbish in them that you wouldnt even imagin. most foods are ok but not ready made as they all seem to contain added salt. anything you make from scratch with no added salt is fine. apart from honey, shelfish, nuts. if you use gravy or pasta sauces heinz do baby ones such as gravy, cheese sauce, pasta sauce, and chicken stock which are all salt free unlike the adult ones x
