Do you need to puree chicken with milk and does it matter if it is cow or formula?

I have been giving my lo jars of food up to today (she is 6 months today).  However, had her at the docs today because she has a rotten cold and is sick with coughing so much and the doc kinda reprimanded me - not outright but it felt that way! - for giving her jars only and said she is at the right age for giving her whatever we are eating now.

So for dinner tomorrow we are having chicken, veg & potatoes with gravy.....do I puree everything seperately and then mash it all together or puree it all together or does it matter as long as it is all mushy?

The problem I have is that hubby works most nights and I tend to just have toast or noodles or a sandwhich or something quick and simple like that....so I am surmising I should pick a day, cook dinners for bubs and freeze them all?

So shopping today and cooking on Wednesday for me I think lol   need to write a list of dinners I'm hopeless I know

any foods that are raw in freezer, i.e chicken, beef, mince, can all be cooked then refrozen after cooked...  reheat them thouroghly though, but once heated they cannot be refrozen!!!

    hth... xx

Hi, i'm also confused about this. I am wanting to do some dishes with chicken but not sure if it is OK to cook, freeze then warm the meal up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks x

My lo is now 6 months so I want to start introducing some new things now, at the moment she just has fruit & veg and some yoghurt & rice. I am going to steam the chicken and then can I just puree it with some milk and freeze in individual portions? I don't want to mix it with any veg before freezing so then I can add different things to it instead of just having one type of meal? I also have some baby stock cubes which I thought I could use as a gravy, is this right?
