hi there, its up to you with the lumps and i think its trial and error... if you think lo is ready for tiny lumps then go with it, but be prepared as she will gag, and its horrible to see, but bare with it as its a natural reaction...
as for the fish, you could just simply boil it in baby milk till soft, then when ready add it to mashed potato... or if yu want a fish meal for the whole family then do fish pie. its a long recipe for me to type but i copied it from annabel karmel website... go onto that as there is many ideas for feeding 6month... and she gives you how long meals can be frozen for.
good luck...

Hi Ladies,
LO is 5 months old now and has been weaning for a good few weeks now, she is on 3 meals a day - and she is really loving it.
Anyway, everything she has is pureed - at the moment she is on jars because when iv made my own i have never been able to get it really smooth - anyway she seems very comfortable with eating off a spoon now so a) when should i introduce lumps? (I have some home-made food in the freezer waiting to be introduced that is a bit lumpy) b) How long can food be frozen for?
and lastly, how on earth do i cook fish for baby meals (i dont intend to introduce until at least 6 months but am very aware she needs a good intake of fish) but its not something we eat in our house really so i have no idea how to cook it? Im no Nigella Lawson when it comes to cooking so any good advice welcome!!
Thanks Ladies xx

hi my lo is 7 months and has her meals cut up in pieces as she refuses pureed food. she had her food like this since she was just over 6 months. i started giving her lumpy food around 5 months as she was ready for it. its trial and error. good luck x
