When Freezing Frozen food how long do you defrost it for. Also what do i do if i'm going out of the day?

if its baby food you can defrost in the microwave and heat thoroughly then allow to cool
if its small portions for say tonights dinner...take it out in the morning and you can leave to defrost in the fridge all day...again just remember to heat well and cool before use
