That Annabel Karmel book/magazine was in the cookery magazine section not the cookery book section if that makes sense.15/10/08 20:29

What about meatballs (minced, beef, pork or lamb), mini pizzas using muffins as a base, spinach and lentil patties, omlettes, sausages, vegetable muffins, home made nuggets, cheese on toast. I often just chop up the meat that we are having and Hannah has it with vegetables and she quite happily eats it with her fingers, even peas! I get ideas from the Annabel Karmel books and she has just started to bring out a book/magazine every few months and tonight I made my daughter mini salmon balls from there and she loved them. I found it in the cookery section of WHSmith, it was a bit pricey (£
but has some lovely recipes. Hope this helps.11/9/08 23:54

How about fish fingers or chicken dippers?

How about sweet potato wedges? Just make them into chip shapes and bake in the oven with a little olive oil. They are lovely! Could try her on home made veggie patties too (just basically veg, cheese, breadcrumbs all mixed together - message me if you want the recipe). Eggie bread or omelette? DD picked some omelette off my plate the other day that was covered in curry sauce and she loved it! Just a few ideas, anyway.

DD has recently become very picky with her food, though only at dinner times. Through a process of elimination, we've worked out that she'll eat her dinners if she doesn't have to use a spoon (lazy moo, lol!), so I've made her some pasta spirals with various toppings that she can pick at , and homemade wholemeal pitta bread pizzas, but I'm trying to find other ideas for her that don't need to be eaten with a spoon. She's not a big lover of chips or potatoes, but likes spicy foods or italian flavoured foods.
Any ideas?

How about homemade fishcakes. Get some left over mashed potato, mix with a tin of salmon or tuna - maybe add some sweetcorn if they like that. Then make up little parries - dust with flour then oven bake. My LO's had these for lunch and they got gobbled up.
