    I think the longer she goes without tasting salted vegetables the more likely she is to start eating them again.  If you've got a lot of control over her diet then maybe the salted vegetables wouldn't give her too high a salt intake (if she's not eating other processed foods, biscuits etc) but it could be a slippery slope and she'll want salt in everything!

    I'm very neurotic about ds diet so know how you're feeling!

    I have always been really strict with dds diet. Everything is home cooked, with no sugar or salt. ( I eat tons of salt and i didn't want her to get used to it.) Thing is, she's had a couple of tastes of it and now point blank refuses to eat veg that hasn't been cooked in salted water.

    I'm wondering if the benefits of her actually eating her veg would outweigh the negative effects of the tiny amount of salt used in cooking?

    Sorry, I'm aware how neurotic i sound, i've just spent such a long time and effort on her diet  and now she won't touch anything i make.
